  • I think what you're doing is working. Why do you think you have it set wrong? Do you want to lose faster? I have a similar routine and walking on breaks and lunch work for me too. I also have a fitbit and I manually set my calories to 1500 (I get cranky with anything less). But still, I mostly walk and have been losing…
  • I weigh myself daily and whenever I hit a new low, I log it. There is too much fluctuation (as you've noticed) even with weekly weigh ins. As long as I'm not at the same/higher weight for more than 2wks I'm good. And that hasn't happened yet, been losing consistently just by logging my new lower weight. This also gives me…
  • Love my Fitbit Flex. As for it going into sleep mode, just wear it on your non-dominent hand. I have found it to be very accurate. Losing about a pound or so a week and only using Fitbit to track calories burned. I could probably lose more but I like to eat
  • Awesome job! Keep it up!
  • MPF gives you your net calories, this is the number you want to be close to. Logging your exercise gives you extra calories to eat. So if you don't exercise, don't log it and you won't have extra calories to eat and will still lose weight.
  • Basically, just follow the instructions as MPF has laid them out. Enter height, weight, goal weight, activity level and MPF will tell you how many calories you need to eat per day to lose. Just log the food into MPF using the food database or the barcode scanner on the app. And log your exercise too. Make sure to try to…
  • ^^^EXACTLY THIS^^^ Having sex = possible babies. That means both are responsible. No one can be forced to be physically involve, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be forced to help support that child financially.
  • I'd hardly call the money "free". He abandon his child. Doesn't offer support of any kind. She is entitle to financial support. She does EVERYTHING. All the WORK of raising this child is on her. The money is not free.
  • In a sense it is based on the cost of raising a child. A person making 18k/yr is going to raise their kid with a lot fewer advantages than a person making 90k/yr. So, basing the support on income and physical custody percentage of each parent generally gives a rough idea of what that non-custodial parent would be spending…
  • There is a baseline with locality adjustments (every state differs) and speaking from personal experience and the experiences of several other people I know well, the amount we receive in child support doesn't cover half of what I spend supporting my child. Support includes: housing, food, a car, school clothes (several…
  • If your aerobic class has a lot of stepping or moving of the arms, it will definitely keep track. If you did something like yoga (for example), you would need to log that into MPF or the Fitbit website to get the calorie burn. But I try not eat back all my exercise calories, only about 50%.
  • I actually use both. Fitbit to track steps/calories and RunKeeper to track time/distance. Runkeeper will sync with Fitbit which will sync to MFP so you only need to active Runkeeper when you start your run. Everything else is on auto sync.
  • Mine is in 2.5 weeks also! And my only goal is to finish in under 40 minutes. Other than that I'm just plan enjoying the run. Good Luck!!
  • true, but why let some stupid, insipid teens stop you? someday (hopefully) they will look back on that moment and have a moment of clarity and regret. what strangers think shouldn't matter. is it intimidating? hell yes, but if thats gonna stop you, you'll never get anywhere. So yeah, they need to just move on from that…
  • ^^this! My bf has a much, much easier time than I do. I almost never feel like I have the energy to get going. Why? Because he is slim and I am obese. Feeling the weight "bounce" on my body as I'm running makes me feel like I'm pulling a car behind me. But you know what, I still go out most nights and run around my…
  • This is me and my guy!
  • ^^Exactly this! I have a 12yo and I would rather have her alive and autistic than dying from a preventable disease.
  • mmmm... one of my favorite meals! Which is why, I too, do not frequent McDs. Way too tempting. Glad you enjoyed!
  • Exactly. While I can't say I love it. My body does miss it when I don't get a workout in. I think it is also a matter of getting used to a workout, not necessarily loving it. I just do it anyway most days. Lord knows I don't like sweating or huffing and puffing.
  • Try using the barcode scanner on the app version. I just scan the carton and choose how many eggs I've eaten. If I cook with oil or butter, I add that in separately.
  • I think you're right. I definitely like to see the deficit and eat my calories back. It just keeps me better motivated and thats what its all about, staying on track. People need to do what works best for them based on all available information.
  • Well up until tonight, I thought I was doing ok. But I do love me some food, especially pizza. I guess I'll have to work extra hard tomorrow.
