sure it is -- don't worry so much about the types of food you don't like but more on the portions of the ones you do. You aren't going to change everything at once so start with portions and logging to see how much you are really eating. You can still lose while not doing work outs. Weigh and measure your food and LOG,…

I lost 150 pounds and kept it off for several years but I lost it very unhealthy having an eating disorder. Even when I lost the weight I didn't see myself as thin. Should have gotten the therapy I needed but I didn't . Wish I would have :)

good luck to you just take it slow and make sure you log everything, good or bad. You will learn a lot about yourself. It only gets tougher as you get older so good for you for making the changes now!!

I googled that same question one day and basically came up with it depending on the type of food you ate and how your body breaks down different foods it could take 24 to 72 hours

2000 which was way over but I am at day 115 and had never been over before. Did not bring home any left overs so right back on track now :)

I also suffer from severe depression (being medically treated). I have went through twice and deleted my friends when I am on a real low. I always argue with myself about starting friends again but feel bad when I get in one of those moods and just delete everyone. I often wonder now how they are doing. Don't get me wrong…

I have a hundred to lose and I know how overwhelming even that can be at times. I wish you the very best of luck and I know you can find all the support you desire here!! Just remember one day at a time!!

Born and raised in Tumwater :)

also works well if you have walked through a store like Costco and had several samples and just don't know how to log them

I was stressing out so bad about weigh in day every week that I had to move my weigh in to monthly :) That really sucks for someone who use to get on a scale several times a day. I removed the scale from the house and weigh in at a TOPS (take off pounds sensibly) meeting every week but will only let them tell me the…

I like something creamy also so I take my salsa and add a tbs of yogurt or cottage cheese or fat free sour cream or light mayo to it

I have struggled with binging/purging for quite some time. have spent lots of time in therapy and just never seemed to be able to get it completely under control. I have found that making sure I log every single bite I eat has been the answer for me. Knowing that I have to look and see what I ate and the calories I…

also the pacific northwest just south of Olympia -- I also love the cool grey days :)

I am definitely not an expert but I drink Costcos 30 grams of protein drink and my nutritionist told me to drink half of it about 15 minutes before my workout and the other half after finishing the work out :)

recovering binger/purger been doing well for a while now and find that the logging here really helps. I have every intention of losing this weight in a healthy way this time!!

53 and losing it again - hopefully for the last time this time around. It gets so much harder as I get older. I can't believe I ever was down to goal. That was 5 years ago and here I am again believing I have learned my lesson this time around. The logging is great. I can't imagine ever leaving this site. I am very blessed…

you can add me :)

I also agree you should not beat yourself up - you pick up move on and learn from it - I do believe everything should be logged though even on our occasional bad days!!!
