Unexpected changes to health meant I had to reconfigure what I once considered sustainable. In the time it took to get to the heart of the health issue, I gained 1/2 the weight. I don’t see it as falling off. Learned too much from it to consider it failure. Walked in other people’s shoes...

^^^ Assuming OP 1st trimester no weight gained. 1lb/week in 2nd/3rd trimesters max 28lb gain. Acceptable weight gain, healthy BMI, is 25 to 32 lbs.

Looking at the recipe....I’d try it if someone else could be bothered making it.

When I was fasting I would crave it and ate a spoonful here n there.

@bbell1985 I'm old enough to remember you when you first started. Prior to bbell. Dedication shines through.

A month of cramping would make me visit the Dr.

I had mixed feelings. Natural, normal stage of life is largely how I see it. It sits hand in hand with aging, I try to ignore that and focus on years without a cycle. So, bittersweet feelings. I don't get night sweats or anxiety or flashes though. Mine is all about a heavy 2/mth cycle, fatigue and joints which I attribute…

I used to eat the pre-washed daily for years until the recall; I've bought them since but end up tossing because I can't even stand the thought of consuming them without gagging. It's ridiculous because I've never had a problem with the bags myself. I have been eyeing off the zucchini, over that as of now too...

My doctors do a good job on the correlation vs causation...thank goodness they know their stuff. And thank goodness threads like this exist so I can know the question to ask.

Statistics suggest that most women find the impact of the stages of menopause upon their quality of life minimal, "irritating" is apt. The next largest population is moderate disruption to quality of life. You are actually sitting in the smallest population with zero symptoms ergo zero impact on your quality of life.…

I had the best time when I tried Zumba. I fell over, went left instead of right, all the things you can imagine. Nobody cared, apart from laughing with me and helping me up. Nobody got crappy at me. Eventually I synced and caught on the moves and still remember the day where we all did a routine perfectly (I wasn't the…

Oh god yeh. Now my totm is twice a month. When it was normal, I'd not weigh that week but continue with the deficit. WL will show up eventually.

I'm like that with chocolate. Forget all the fats n sugars, just give me the cocoa bean!

A brush. A spare one you don't normally use. I forgot mine. I didn't care but a nurse tutt tutted and went and got me a comb out of lost property which was actually a nice gesture. I'd had my first shower after a Caesar and she felt I wasn't tiptop till I brushed my hair. I still have the comb. That baby uses it for his…

^^^ When I first started my trainer had me hold a chair or pole. Now they aren't a problem (still hate them but I can do them with added weight too).

All sorts of stuff in life can threaten to throw you out over and over because life is like that. Planning is key. So what will you do differently next time? Is your current way of losing sustainable? Lifelong...includes strife strategies. In certain situations I have rules. I look at what I could have done differently,…

I assume when someone says it, they prioritise aspects of their life differently...choosing more activity vs couch sitting for example. Recognising and changing dodgey habits, replacing with something more conducive and permanent to their new goals. Well said.

I wonder though what his idea of counting calories is? Years ago 1200cals was the number touted whenever you heard counting calories (this was a thing with me which I did and lost weight). I didn't understand tdee - now, I'm almost embarrassed to say that because that part of the equation was always there, I just didn't…

Agree.

Def worth a read.

Cheers I saw that when I looked up electric and it's one I could use I think...def much cheaper. Apologies OP for little hijack.
-
Thanks I didn't think there was electric. I'll look into that.

Are they easy to use? The only reason I've put off buying one is that my hands aren't very good. Not sure I could twist it.

If this makes you feel less anxious, my son just finished a kindy stint where we weren't allowed to use eggs, shellfish or nuts in school lunches due to a severe allergies of one student - even the packages that may have had the product in it weren't allowed. I felt terribly sorry for the parents but fortunately they found…

https://bretcontreras.com/how-to-fix-glute-imbalances/ Not sure obviously if this will help but it's what I'm having to do after a long lay off. ETA: what I like about the article is how he mentions that a sore toe can affect the bum bunch....I have dodgey ankles.
