You look so happy and youthful, what an inspiring set of pictures.

Well said. I can't imagine 'staying in one place' ever again. I'm all about learning, challenging myself and having a great time now.

Great job. Your story is a reminder to all of us that maintainence is about working on our food and exercise goals for a healthy life.

Congratulations, working my way back to 10k but there's a marathon in the back of my mind too. You're an inspiration.

B) We need a crochet group. Sadly it's not energetic enough to burn any more calories than you would watching TV but it's calming and fun.
-
I've become more interested in my 10k training plan and how much I'm improving than what the scales are saying. Feels like a healthier way to live rather than obsessing over a scale reading.
-
Looks like you've cracked it. You're obviously much happier and healthier, good work.
-
You look so healthy and are clearly loving it. Keep going!

If you're breathing hard, getting hot and sweaty then your heart is pumping and that's what you want. Honestly, you don't need a HR monitor to tell you what you already know. I'm a numbers geek too but I focus on the time I can workout at my highest intensity and try to lengthen that. Good luck though.

You both look really healthy, congratulations on your fabulous achievement.

That mountain never stood a chance! Well done, you look and clearly feel amazing.

Fantastic result and one to remember when that beer calls you again. I've been hitting the gym regularly and notch up at least 2k each time. And I love it!
-
You go girl!

Are you weighing your food? Are you tracking EVERYTHING? When was the last time you checked that your bathroom scales were accurate? A stone in a month is an awful lot to be gaining unless you have an underlying medical condition so if you're doing everything else right see your GP.
-
Well done, I'm so glad you were moved to share such awesome news.

You may want to talk to someone professionally about how you percieve yourself if you feel this might be an issue. It IS a lot to get your head around and, yes, it's more than just weightloss. Don't be afraid to approach a life coach/counsellor or trusted friend who will support and guide you. You're dong a great job, keep…

I think (and this is my opinion only) that you're starting to realise that you're not happy being over-weight. You're enjoying the journey so far and this does have an effect on the way we see other people. However, we can never really know what someone else is thinking/feeling so I would be thinking solely about how you…

Really inspirational, thanks for sharing.

You're doing a great job, well done.

Good work.

Looking good!

So yesterday I completed my first Parkrun. I so wish I hadn't pulled a muscle in my groin during the week but it just means my next time will be better, note to self don't try to leap over puddles. I still managed not to be last (most important) and a time of 39 minutes for a 5k. I have a 10k to run at the end of January…

Good to meet you Peachy. I love crochet and now it appears I love to run too. 53 is the new 35!
-
What an achievement.
-
You've done a great job. Happy birthday!
-
Thanks guys, I'm really enjoying the challenge of each run. And now I've signed up for a charity 10k run at the end of January, I must be bonkers!
-
Thanks, I ramped up the stairs part of my run on Sunday which left me a bit sore yesterday so I stuck to three 30 min walks. Today I have a run annex after work. This is so exciting, I never thought I'd be running (well lollopping) at 53!!!

By the way congratualtions on losing 28lb, that's a fabulous acheivement right there.

Calories in/Calories out. That's the bottom line. Weigh every single morsel. Measure every alcoholic drink. Log it all. Measure yourself. Don't fixate on the numbers on the scale, start connecting to your body and its shape. And most important of all, don't give up and have a giggle along the way.
