What's the best HRM- Heart Rate Monitor for petite women?

Hi! I'm looking for a good HRM that calculates calories burned. I usually do interval training, cardio aerobics, walk and dancing. I have a petite frame, so after doing some research, it seems that this could be a problem. My budget's: 80-150$. Suggestions would be very well appreciated! Thanks!

HRMs can only approach accurate caloric estimates for steady state cardio ... constant effort running, rowing, cycling, etc. They are neither designed nor accurate for intervals, low intensity such as walking, dancing, etc. Petite, average size, larger has nothing to do with it.0

Pretty much this.
I have a Polar FT7 and it's never let me down. Durability wise and calculatory wise (from my own calculations on several occassions) it is the best I've ever had and I'll definately get another polar after.
That said, there are many fantastic ones and I'm sure you'll hear reviews from people who've had others they like and some they may not!
All the best.0 -

Everything I posted was based on the facts surrounding the limitations of HRMs. You said buy a Polar ... as usual. The FACTS are that no device will produce accurate caloric estimates for what the OP is doing.0 -

I wouldn't waste the money to be honest.
You'll get as much calorie expenditure accuracy from throwing two D10 and doubling the result.

If you're breathing hard, getting hot and sweaty then your heart is pumping and that's what you want. Honestly, you don't need a HR monitor to tell you what you already know. I'm a numbers geek too but I focus on the time I can workout at my highest intensity and try to lengthen that. Good luck though.0

I did not say BUY a polar, I said here is one that would fit in their BUDGET!! it's their money they can do what ever they want to with it!! The only waste of money is when you buy, or don't buy what you want with YOUR hard earned money based on others opinions!! What the OP does with the information is up to them!! If I like Polar, why would I recommend a Garmin or any other type!!0 -

Ah, the power of marketing.
Marketeers, convincing people to spend money on tools that don't do what they need.
Third up against the wall come the time of the glorious revolution...0
