My entire closet. My nice pretty summer dresses :brokenheart: Also this jacket: I love it madly - over a little dress, or with wide black pants and some fun shoes. Just need to get to the size... My ultimate goal is a dress I probably won't wear even if I can - it's rather 80's. I begged it off of my mom when I…

I check my weight each morning, and I don't fret about that fact. So I like to know what's going on. I'm like that. Maybe it's a little obsessive, but it doesn't harm anything. I like knowing where I stand, and it doesn't mean I'm freaking out over every fluctuation. I like watching trends. I like numbers and graphs too.…

Clothes. Definitely clothes. And heels. It's so much harder to walk in heels when you're carrying all this extra weight.

I'm 5'3.5". Started in the beginning of August at 166 lbs. 13 lbs down so far. I don't have pictures, but I definitely already see a difference in clothes, I'm at least one size down. Two more to go  Oh, and I'm 47 years old, goal weight around 130.

Disclaimer: I'm not a doctor or otherwise an expert. This is what I found out when I was researching it for myself. Laser lipo is not really weight loss surgery. It's body sculpting surgery. Reputable doctors would not even talk to you about lipo if you aren't close to your ideal weight - at least around here (Boston).…

My husband has always been skinny and sporty. And then he started exercising more and got kinda ripped... My best friend is a size 4. Pretty much everyone I know is either in great shape, or at least just thin - except my older kid, who takes after me (so on top of everything, I feel that it's my fault.) So, yes,…

A man playing guitar. Or piano. Rolled up shirt sleeves Nice sensitive hands Long or disarrayed hair Exotic knowledge or wit Uh, yeah, I seem to be into the artsy/nerdy type...

Yay, I'm 2 lbs down since last week. I'm quite astounded by that, actually - that's a lot. Though I have an old scale which only shows whole pounds, so it might actually be anywhere between 1 and 2 lbs. I don't mind, I'll take it! Between these two pounds I hit an intermediate goal - I am now below 70 kg! Speaking of…

Some people say that 40+ is what happened. I don't know, but it certainly happened to me too. Sending you a friend request :)

In some ideal imaginary universe, I'd like to reach my ultimate goal weight - which is 25lbs away. Ahhh.... And now, that I'm done basking in that rainbow glow - 15 lbs would be pretty cool. Then for New Year eve (my favorite holiday!) I could probably fit into something nice enough to wear.

Oh. Missed the weigh-in. But I do have the number, I was 155 lbs on Wednesday, 9/25.

Honeycrisp are my favorite too! Come September I start searching for them. Just found the first ones of the season last week - and now they are in pretty much every store. Best apples ever - while they last. The rest of the year I have to do with Braeburn - it was my favorite, until they started growing Honeycrisp around…

Great info, thank you. This seems to be the last missing piece for me, now it all makes sense. All those mysterious 3lb gains from one "wrong" meal.

I find it slightly disturbing that there are topics here highlighting my cheese addiction so obviously. :blushing: I'd give up entire food groups before cheese! In fact, I've done it before. But cheese, chocolate and coffee stay, diet or no diet!

For me it's protein. I can't handle being hungry, I have no willpower. A piece of cheese helps me so much more than a fruit. Although I love fruit, it just leaves me hungry again in 20 minutes. Light cheese sticks, those little round Babybel things, or just a piece of regular cheese (my favorite is Gruyere.) Possibly with…

Yes, that. With extra chocolate on the side, please.

Sounds great! I don't think I can actually lose 15 lbs - my weight loss tends to go slower than that - but I'd love to see how close I can get to the number!

Looking for company for the journey - please feel free to add me!

I'm 47. Been on MFP for a little bit, but only just venturing into forums - haven't met anyone here yet, just used the diary and tracker. I think I have the same issue with 1200 calories assigned by MFP - not sure if it's right. There might be adjustments. But I can't do anything alone or quietly - I need company for…

Starting over too. Best of luck!

From another woman over 40 - we can do this! Sounds like you have a very well thought out plan already. Good luck - feel free to add me if you'd like!

Hello! Feel free to add me. I'm new here, but not new to the subject, alas. Accountability and encouragement are very important - having the charts and diaries is helpful, but there's nothing like someone to talk to!
-
Hello! I'm rather new here myself - but I have to say this. I'm so glad to see that you're doing this now - instead of waiting to hit 40, like I did. You can do it, and it will be so worth it! Feel free to add me. I'm looking for new friends here!
