I have had the dosage changed many times since diagnosed in 2010. My fasting glucose it is usually high for me I am on 1500 now but have used both 2000 and 1000 in the past.

Thanks for info/advice. I go to my diabetes clinic Saturday and I'll ask about cinnamon. I never knew about any side effect. I guess diet and exercise are the only safe methods. ...can be daunting at time... good luck.

It helps if minimize the carbs intake during the day. Better result in the morning. Almost all people with type 2 have to fight dawn effect. Good luck.

It all depends on each individual case. My doctor said that Metformin does not lower the glucose rapidly after a meal (Insulin does that) but it helps keeping the HbA1C on optimal glycemic control. I know what food triggers spikes for me and I try hard to avoid or minimize portions from that group. You might need to record…

Congrats, well done! May I ask, how long did it take you to reach the goal? Did you have periods of stagnation or plateau? How many calories did you used daily? I want to loose some 90 pounds....it seems so unreal... thanks...
