For me MFP readings are really close so I just leave it and don't eat a lot of the calories added back in and I also make sure I don't go into starvation mode. I think it depends on the intensity of your work outs.

I couldn't have explained it better myself. You are so right about the fat is burned down as fuel and processed through your liver and kidneys and then yes, pooped and urinated out.

Push ups will help you a great deal. As a matter of fact, try starting out with a couple of push ups and go right into a plank. Try that and add time each week. This should help you out. Oh yeah, no girly push ups, you will have to do the male push ups.

I'm 51 and lift and I do a lot of strength training and it is toning me very well I must say.

I would love to join, I'm 51 and consider myself getting into top shape. I would love to lose 45 pounds this year. I have a heavy workout schedule and just recently joined the adult swim team. I lift weights, do extreme workouts M-S. I've burned a lot of fat and have gained muscle.

I think you can leave a little over 600 calories without getting a warning.

I take Body Pump twice a week and I love it. I've read where you need to do free weights at least twice a week and Body Pump gives that to me in between my extreme work outs.

I bought boxing gloves and a speed rope for my workout class. Currently working out with former UFC now MMA fighter Houston "The Assassin" Alexander. This is the best class I ever took. It's fierce. I hope to lose all this fat I caked on over the years.

Its easy to stay within the calorie range but I don't always get in the fats and number of carbs I'm suppose to and I exercise 5 days a week. I will try those recommended websites to calc my BMR. Thanks for the advice, well appreciated!

I do love to work out and I am following the guidelines and sticking to them. I haven't gone over in calories yet and I hope I don't until I reach my goal and even then I don't plan on going over much. Thanks for the encouragement

That's a good point with cutting out the white foods like bread. I only eat 100% whole wheat and I'm trying to curb the sugar to a pudding or just fruits.
