  • Great NSVs everyone! Today I increased my push ups (full-on, man-style) from 30 to 35 per set. I was thrilled!
  • Voelkel - I am struggling with pull ups, too. I didn't expect them to be such an issue because I can do 30 man push ups (thank you, Jillian Michaels). Clearly, pull ups must be different muscles - or I am doing it wrong. I have no assist bands or anything, just the bar in the doorway. I am going to try the chair thing and…
  • Nice job on the exercise! How's Jillian treating you? :)
  • CVX today! I loved it and am thinking next week I will ditch the 5s and try 8s the whole time. I'm so glad I decided to invest in this program. (Ask me how I feel in block 2 & 3) :)
  • Hi everyone - I'm so glad to see a bunch of posts. It is motivating to know others are in the same boat. Today was Yoga for me. I just can't get into Yoga, even though I do know its benefits. A few times during the session, I started doing push ups and jumping jacks to get my HR up a bit. I guess I just like to be sweaty.…
  • Seriously! Those elevator push ups are rough! But I do like feeling like a badass when they are done. :)
  • Hi all - Today was Warrior for me and I burned a few more calories than the last time, so maybe that means my jumps were higher and all those push ups were lower. :) Have a great day! - Jen
  • I think I forgot to check in Saturday - sorry! I did Agility Saturday, Sunday was rest day and this morning I did Accelerator. In the first week of the program, I lost 2 lbs, so I am quite happy with the results so far. Here's to week 2 being stronger and better! Great job everyone~ Jen
  • Keep it up, everyone! It's great we have so many still here. I hope to see you all next week!
  • Hi Everyone! I'm up and about early today trying to get some things done so I don't have to drive around in the snow....again. Is it time for Spring yet? SW: 169.8 Week 1: 172.8 and 168 exercise minutes Week 2: 172.4 and 185 exercise minutes Week 3: 169.8 and 250 exercise minutes Week 4: 167.8 and 281 exercise minutes…
  • Hi all - love the pic! Today I went a little nuts and decided to double up, so I did Isometrics, which was my scheduled workout, then I followed it with Warrior to get my heart going. I felt great - until about an hour ago when it kicked in and I had to go for an afternoon coffee. :) Feeling good again and am quite sure I…
  • Hi All- Week 1, day 4 was CVX for me. I actually switched from the Classic to the Lean series on day 2. I figured since I have about 15-20 lbs to lose, it would be a better choice. I loved CVX - my heart rate was more than 140 the entire time and I loved it. My backside is incredibly sore. The great kind of sore. :) Have a…
  • This makes me feel much better about my clumsiness! Those are good stories and made me laugh (only because everyone is OK now) I was running in the park near my house and it is a very crowded park. My son rides his bike ahead of me while I run and he had already made it to the play area, where we were meeting some friends.…
  • Hi all - week 1, day 3 for me. Today was Yoga and I have never been a fan. Unfortunately, today did not convert me. I like getting all out of breath and sweaty. I get why it is good for a body, though and will keep at it the next time it pops up. Looking forward to a good workout tomorrow!
  • Hi All - the new girl is checking in so I can get in the habit. I wrote a brief bio on the intros thread. Today I did Agility and loved this workout! It was fun and I look forward to doing it again to see my progress. Have a good day! -jen
  • Hi Everyone! Thanks for starting this group. I just completed day 2 of the program, so I am a bit behind, but it'll be fun to follow in your footsteps. Today was Agility and I loved that workout - it was actually fun. Me: I'm 37 and live in Cincinnati, where I run my own business. Several years ago, I did C25K and loved…
  • You are amazing! A big congrats to you and your consistency. It's great that you are in this group and thank you for the motivation that your progress gives me. Good luck with strength! Great week all - keep moving forward and we'll all see each other in a week!
  • Hi all! I'm thrilled to be back to a routine. Working hard since NYE to undo the damage. Next week, there needs to be a scale drop. :) Week 1: 169.8 Week 2: 172.8 and 168 exercise minutes Week 3: 172.4 and 185 exercise minutes Have a good week everyone!
  • I think you both did pretty damn good if you had a week of some goodies. I also had a week of goodies (really good beer) and, in typical form, my body has really punished me. Final Xmas party is today and then I just have NYE to get through. Week 1: 169.8 Week 2: 172.8 and 168 exercise minutes Have a good week everyone!
  • Welcome to you both!! I look forward to supporting each other. -Jen
  • That's not bad at all! 0.4 is nothing. I can only hope my week will be like that. I fear that's not the case, since whenever I indulge even a little the scale really punishes me. We'll see tomorrow...
  • Here's my initial starting point: Weight: 169.8 Exercise goal each week: 150 minutes Personal goal: take measurements once a month. I want to lose inches on my thighs especially. Good luck everyone! Jen
  • Holy crap - are there groups like that?! I'm staying right here with all of you wonderful people. You have all kept me off gummy bears for a couple months now. Why go anywhere else? :)
  • There are some seriously amazing results on here! I wish I could think of a word bigger than Congrats to those of you are have lost more than 20 lbs! That is simply stellar and a testament to your serious dedication. KUDOS!!
  • Congrats To those posted above for being here the entire time and for all the loss you have so far. Anna - you just might make it! I am on week three of the scale being stuck. Quite frankly, I'm pissed about this week's result. The first two weeks of nothing I was able to blame on a long thanksgiving weekend, but three…
  • Absolutely it is fine! No doubt we will all have some weirdness between Xmas and the New Year, but this is a supportive bunch and we will power through it! Welcome aboard! -Jen
  • Hi Everyone: I created a new group, so head on over and join: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/17955-exercise-challenge-15-lbs-lost-by-st-patty-s-day But first - two weeks until our xmas challenge is complete! I can't wait to see everyone's results. -Jen
  • Great! So 15 lbs by St. Patty's Day (March 17) seems to be a consensus. For exercise: how about we do total minutes per week? Does 150 minutes per week seem doable to everyone? That's an avg of 30 minutes, 5 times per week. (but obviously it can be distributed however we want) Higher? Lower? First check-in would be Dec 28.…
  • This has not been a good two weeks for me and I am growing tired I being frustrated with the scale and sore all the time. Last night I caved to beer and am not pleased with myself for it. I'm going to try to let go of the tension and just get back to enjoying feeding my body with nutrition instead of crap. I should add…
  • I could use a little of that myself - alcohol is my weakness. I allow myself one night a week and bet I have stuck to that almost zero times. I'm in! Request coming...
