  • gotta love some of these answers. by some of the logic on here, adding mince to my rice stops it being carbs!? no matter what you add to your water, nothing bonds with it on a molecular level, which is the level your body absorbs it at! no matter what you ad its filtered out. and have to also agree with the comments of…
  • 'clean' as in natural foods, i know i can meet my calorie goals by eat mcdonalds and kfc every meal but something tells me its probably not advisable! lol
  • point taken, although currently i am bulking, MFP is just as useful as a tool for gained and monitoring than losing weight. thanks for the replys, i knew the obvious ones, was hoping for some weird and wonderful secret ingredient lol
  • haha yea i read about the guy doing 8 shakes a day! and even then they recon it was more to do with the surplus amount of vitamins and minerals than the protein. he was up to 25k% RDA for Vit b!! a red bull is only 500%!!!
  • unfortunately its not an instructed thing, its just me in the sauna. why? as if i can do 15mins shadow boxing in the sauna, then 15mins in the ring will be a breeze! yea i figured shadow would be the same as the aerobic workout, didnt know how much extra the sauna added.
  • likes been previously mentioned servings sizes will be the key, as well try cooking 'meats' seperately so you can adjust the servings to your individual macros, eg he can have loads more protein and you can have more veg n sauce.
  • although the process of marathon type running lasts longer, the recovery (afterburn) from sprinting is much longer, and therefore keeps your metabolism burning energy/fat for a much longer time.
  • it is still quite rare in HK from what i saw when i was the in May, you just have to keep your eyes open, i found one or two supps places around the ladies market, and up in the blocks of flats in central. Take advantage of the unmolested natural foods, fresh fish, teas, loads of soya over dairy.
  • Great site, thanks for the find!
  • to add on to the post above, look at marathon runners, very low fat but very low muscle, compare that to Olympic sprinters, very muscular and big, very low body fat, HIT (high intensity training) revs your metabolism much higher, and had a much longer 'after' burn effect that long cardio, meaning over all you will burn…
  • so first off as has been mentioned, from your photo you're very pretty and im sure people that know everyone around you thinks the same! Depending on what your illness is? e.g. cold flu chest infection, your core temp is much higher and your body uses much more calories than normal anyway fighting the illness! your resting…
  • Ive heard alot of positive things about oxy! im currently cutting for a fight in 6weeks, and will start to run a cycle of oxy around 4 weeks out. am currently on thermobol, which i think of as a gentle version as ive already been on the cut for 4weeks. Dont feel bad that your using it at all, if your getting the best…
  • So not to stoke the fire of a really pointless argument, but by that your saying that i cant make the general assumption (label) that doner kebabs, or burgers are unhealthy. yes there are going to be exceptions to this rule, as there are with pizza, and serving size is definately a big issue (exactly the point being made!)…
  • protein shakes and supps make up a essential part of my diet, but id really argue against being abe to sustain a decent healthy diet from them alone! plus the 'carb up' occasions would screw up your insulin and hormone levels.
  • i think the key is the cheap, store bought ones, or the dirty takeaway OTT ones, like stuff crusts with everything on it! As said above, you can make a really health pizza, wholemeal dough base, your own tomato paste not the store bought stuff with loads of sugar, reduced fat cheese and loads veg or chicken! (making myself…
  • they provide your metabolism with a much needed 'rev' to keep it burning at the rate that it would have been prior to the 'new' diet. mentally they provide you that relief from what can be quite a hard change in regime, and the feeling that you're missing out, until you start seeing and feeling the benefits of your new…
  • as anyone that has changed the amount of food they eat one way or another will know, your stomach shrinks or grows to meet the new amount after some time, so you are going to feel like your eating alot, even at 800cal! plus on top of that you body is trying to help you survive! by storing as much of the food as it possibly…
  • depending on the intensity of the exercise it would be possibly more effective, as you will be able to maintain a higher level of exertion for the bursts of 10mins rather than 'surviving' 30mins. Its the same arguement in theory as HIT training vs endurance running.
  • gotta have the odd off day, else your body goes into starvation mode, making the weight loss harder anyway. I always like to think that on one really bad (nice) meal your body can only absorb a certain amount of the fats/carbs in the time its passing through your body anyway so out of the 800cal you put in maybe only…
  • a large pizza hut stuffed crust chicken supreme, with salad bowl, 4 pieces of garlic bread with cheese and 8 chicken wings, and a supersize sharer cookie desert, washed down with 2 milkshakes and unlimited lemonade! and used to pride myself on being able to eat an 12" choc fudge cake in one sitting, like in the film…
