Old Bay seasoning, sometimes garlic salt...some of the Mrs Dash flavors are good as well!

Tapioca is a great thickener in the crockpot as well.

I'm posting again to see if my ticker shows up! :D

There was a time when a Burger King Double Whopper with cheese and large onion rings was my usual lunch...of course to be "healthy" I would wash it down with diet Coke! Now, an occasional Whopper Junior, hold the mayo. Some of those meals might look tasty, but I start to feel sick just thinking of how stuffed I would feel.

Might want to think about getting some help to work through those guilt and shame issues.

It sounds like you are grieving the loss of your heavier self. Something you probably need to work through, so you don't hold onto the person you were. A suggestion, (I do some grief counseling professionally), look at the relationship you had with your heavier self by graphing the positive and negative memories of that…

WOW! What a transformation!!

I bought a sweat shirt off the rack at the gift shop of my local baseball team...that is a first for me in many, many years!

What a great, inspirational story. I've got about 100 pounds to go, you inspire me to keep going.

OK, if you live in Colorado or Washington state, would you smoke GMO Marijuana? ;-)

I did once when I was 21 year old (now 65!). It was wonderful. No tandem in those days, you just got hooked up on a static line and jumped then the jump master pushed you out of the airplane! I exited rather slowly (held on for dear life actually), and landed about a mile from the drop zone. It looked like I was going to…

It took me about 9 months. Eating better, and more exercise. Always staying under my calorie allotment for the day.

Eating pizza is like sex.... There is really no wrong way, but some ways are better than others! :-)

That's truly amazing...you look great. I'm about half-way to where I want to be...you, and so many others on MFP, are an inspiration.

Large papa John's meat lovers pizza, large order of breadsticks ... On top of half a large jar of peanut butter eaten with a spoon while waiting for the pizza delivery. Also lots of McDonald's, burger King, Wendy's, taco bell, taco Johns, etc etc. Still eat some pizza and an occasional whopper junior!

I'm 64 years old, and after losing another 35 pounds, I'm going to get my first tattoo! Then another one after the next 50 pounds!

Ran my Fitbit One through the washing machine last night!! Dried it off, and its working great! Even added a few steps while in the machine.

How can you cheat if you are making a life style change? As Yoda once said, "Do or do not. There is no try."

I had PF a few years ago. Tried the stretching with the board and phone book, rolling the can, pulling with a towel, etc. Finally decided to try orthotic insoles. Got my feet measured, and found out I was wearing shows that were both too narrow, and too short (I thought they fit, buying them at the do it yourself shoe…

Two things have really helped me. First, as has been suggested by others, is to log everything that goes into your mouth. Second, to log most accurately, get a good food scale, and weigh everything you can. This has really helped me learn portion sizes. Again, as others have said, there are no forbidden foods...might be…

One of the good parts of becoming an adult is that you don't have to live up to anyone's expectations except your own. If you are happy with your weight and the way you are eating, that is what is important. As far as mom, you could just tell her to bugger off as some have suggested, but I think a better way might be to…

Have your favorite pizza delivered, and work the calories in for the day...even if it means an extra workout, or very low calorie lunch.

I've had a fitbit one for about a month and a half. Really love it. It keeps me motivated to keep moving...trying to beat my step count from the day before, etc. I track calories on MFP, and activity on fitbit. Fitbit does not work well for activities like bike riding or swimming, or like that, but it is great for walking,…

I have a fitbit one, and just love it. Syncs well with mfp. I like being able to read steps directly from it. Does a good job tracking sleep as well.

When I started this journey, the only people who knew were my doctor and me. I have gotten compliments from my doctors and staff every time I see them. That is encouraging. The last two weeks I started getting compliments at work. Most of the, "Hey, I've noticed, you're doing great." variety. I looked at this as a real…

Congratulations on a very successful year. You are an inspiration. My story is similar to yours, except I'm about 4 inches shorter, and considerably older (64). Saw a new doctor in August, and he scared me enough that I decided that if I wanted to live another 20 years, I better get serious about losing weight and getting…
