I am on metformin and eating about the same percentages as you do. I have absolutely no side effects on metformin ER ... only once, when I endulged in a way too fatty and too much dinner. Taught me a lesson, that night ...

I like it as a wrap filling made of (non fat) Greek yogurt, lemon juice, diced 1/2 apple, onions, carrot bits, and sunflower seeds. Wrap in romaine leaves or on salad greens in a whole wheat tortilla.

I am also kind of "twinnish" ... 32 y. o. 5' 11 1/2'' (1,82m) SW: 277 lb (126kg) CW: 245 lb (111kg) GW: under 220 lb (99kg) - to start with ...

I'm just a little short of 6' (at 1,82m) and would be happy to be under 100kg and ultimately in onderland. Have been fluctuating around 111-112kg (246lb) for a while now - started at 126kg (278lb) on March 1st. So there is still time to get more serious before holiday season starts ...

I do also love the "costumize everything" options that eshakti.com offers ...

Just go back into your routine before vacation. Your body will tell you if that's too much. After four weeks back in Germany where i had walking or biking as the only possible cardio exercises, I attended a strength class which hasn't been much of a problem before - and could not walk properly for two days because of sore…

That would explain why I gained 4 lb lean body mass while losing a little more than 20 pounds in three months ...

Tried on some blazers/jackets that have either never or not recently fit at my upper arms. Now they fit like they should and I just slipped in with no hassle at all. Woo-hoo!

Originally a dessert, but for lunch when it's hot and humid: Red Fruit Jelly ("Rote Grütze"). And I second wraps and salads.

Hello there! 1) 32 2) 182cm (just under 6ft) 3) 247 lb 4) Sedentary / lightly active, additional gym visits for Zumba (twice a week), strength training ( 2-3 times a week or other cardio stuff. I bike or walk instead of using the car whenever possible. 5) 1800-2000, more when exercising a lot. 6) Weight loss is an…

"At least BMR", as I stated, up to half the exercise cals back. Just quoting the BodPod results. Believe me, I was surprised, too!

Since I changed my diet (I took metformin before starting my weight loss on March 1st), there have rarely been any side effects. Occasionally, greasy or carb-y foods will trigger an "explosion" the next morning (I take 1500mg with dinner), but that's about it.

Yes, it is possible. It was for me. Started a weight loss program March 1, including a body composition evaluation before and after the program. I lost almost 30 pounds of body fat in 10 weeks and gained four pounds of lean muscle. I ate at least about 1800 calories a day (that is my BMR) with five times cardio and three…

Oops, I forgot, just under 6 ft tall (1,82m) ... broad frame, if such things exists. ;)

Right now, I am only aiming to get under 100 kg (220 lb) - halfway there, started March 1 at 280lb! - , then under 200 lb and then ... Maybe 180 lb. But Onederland it is for me ...

For some retro and cute dresses, tops, and skirts, I highly recommand eshakti.com. Costumize everything for a small to no fee! Only their below-the-knee-length dresses actually end below and not above the knee ...

Hi there and welcome! This could have been me about 1-2 years ago, well I am a little older. ;) My symptoms are also fairly moderate. A bit of facial hair where it shouldn't be, no cysts, but no ovulation. :( Next month we are starting our first clomi cycle (hormons that force my body to ovulate - hopefully). Good luck on…

Every little bit of weight loss is better than no weight loss at all. If a pregnancy happens half way through, it happens. My husband are there right now, will start our first Clomi cycle (as advised by my Ob/Gyn since my BMI dropped under 35 recently) next month. And I have no intention of going back to my unhealthy…

I agree with going cold turkey and not buying it. Takes a lot of willpower, yes. Have you tried mixing club soda or seltzer water with fruit juice? Start with 50:50 and then slowly work your way down to less and less juice VS more water until you like it plain.

According to your goal weight, you must be a little shorter than I am, but I started at a similar weight and am also juggling my ladies through cardio exercise. But yes, owning a sports bra really helps. However, since swimming is not yet an option for you, you may want to consider biking, if that is an option in the…

Me! PCOS, no cysts, but insulin resistance, vitamin D deficiency, hypothyroism, and no ovulation. On metformin and soon-to-be on clomid as well. ;) My doctor was very proud of the 22lbs I lost since I last saw him mid February. Changed my diet a bit (increase protein, cut down sugar, whole grain carbs only/mostly) and…

Same over here, with my relatively high BMR, I end up at a little under 200g - and I am losing weight steadily. Most are whole grains, lots of veggies, some fruit, too.

I just made my "dessert" in a similar way. :) 2/3 cup of fat free plain (greek) yogurt 1 cup frozen mixed berries 1 tsp sugar in the raw or honey or maple syrup (not necessary) Pureed it with my hand blender. Yummy!

Any baked goodies fresh from the oven ... bread, sweet bread, cookies ... You name it!

I would go nuts on intermittent fasting, seriously. What worked for me (PCOS/IR) so far (have only seriously started about seven weeks ago and lost about 15 pounds since), is cutting down carbs, while increasing protein (adjusted percentages to 40/30/40). But every body is different, especially with the messed up…

Not sure about the calorie count then, but I'll try them substituting fat free plain greek yogurt for the apple sauce. For no particular reason.

I am just a little under 6ft (1.82m) and lost 12 pounds in the past six weeks since I joined a local "Change your Weight"-program. My goal weight is "U100" (under 100 kg) or "U200" (under 200 pounds). Way to go ... I would also love to fit into my high school soccer size again (EU 42 - US 12) as I was comfortable in that…

Cheat days don't work for me. I either calculate something sweet in every (second) day and am fine.
