  • I need this group! Age 29 with 40 lbs to lose. :)
  • Quick oats topped with apple, cinnamon, and 2 slices bacon. Green smoothie- milk, Greek yogurt, frozen banana, pb, spinach
  • Some things that have helped me. Allow yourself one sweet treat per week. Plan your meals around clean foods and make your favorite foods healthier. For instance, I make veggie nachos by bulking up the veggies and minimizing the chips and cheese. I make veggie pizza by using a tortilla and pesto for the sauce. Any pasta…
  • I go to the gym 5 days a week and the other 2 days I still do something to be active like extra long walk with the dogs or a hike of some sort. Keeping the habit up is important to me because otherwise by Monday morning it's so hard to be motivated again. So I just never stop. Think of the other benefits of exercise too,…
  • If you have a sweet tooth, make these! Perfect to eat just one and craving is satisfied. Also, buy healthy snacks: almonds, string cheese, Greek yogurt, carrot and celery sticks, grapes, etc http://www.cookingclassy.com/bake-energy-bites/
  • Afternoons can be hard for me too. I really like the flavored almonds (bbq or buffalo) and I keep a bag at my desk. I eat half a serving mid morning and half a serving mid afternoon. Hits the spot. I also like string cheese for a quick filling snack.
  • The only things I have really given up are those that I seem to have no willpower over. Most things I can eat in moderation though. 1. potato chips 2. debbie snacks 3. m&ms 4. frozen pizza 4. eating to finish my plate instead of eating until I am full
  • I totally agree about the midnight buffet. When we went on our honeymoon, we decided room service was better. :) Thanks for the tip.
  • I cook my broccoli and then add a couple tbls of garlic hummus. I saw it on pinterest and it's amazing!
  • I have a tiny bottle of it and haven't noticed the slightest difference.
  • Crockpot Mexican Chicken 3 Lg Boneless Skinless chicken breasts cut in half 1 pkg taco seasoning 1 jar salsa (any flavor, I like hot!) Cook on low for 4-6 hours. Shred chicken and put back in crockpot. Throw in a tortilla with reduced fat cheese. It's like amazing and 150 cals per serving! Enjoy!!
  • Almond milk!!
  • OK so I made this over the weekend, and it was AMAZING!!!! My husband loved it too. Thanks for posting!!!!!!!
  • nature's valley dark chocolate granola thins!!!
  • It IS a vicious cycle. For me I gained 30 pounds after I got married 3 years ago. I would love to lose it and fit back in my wedding dress...:) Feel free to add me as a friend and we can support each other!
  • Welcome to MFP! Feel free to add me as a friend. This is a great site for support!
  • Feel free to add me as a friend! You can do it!
  • I have had the same issues. I started exercising so I usually have a few hundred calories left at the end of the day. What I have been trying to do is to "drink" my calories back, that way I don't feel so full. For instance, right now I have 381 calories left for the day, but I am completely full. So I will drink some milk…
  • I don't know if you have netflix, but I usually livestream the various work out dvds they have on there. That way you can try something out before ordering or buying it.
  • I also have terrible periods. For the first day and a half I do absolutely nothing. I can barely get out of bed. I just try to keep drinking lots of fluids. However, when I exercise consistently when I am NOT on my period, I find that my periods are more bearable. It definitely affects different women differently. My…
  • To log the omelette I would just click on "add a food" and type in the ingredients and the calorie intake. Then save it to "my meals" so if you need to use it in the future you can. What people were saying about exercising is of course great too. That's what I LOVE about MFP is the motivation to exercise.
  • If I were you I would make an omelet. Use one egg and two egg whites with some onion and mushrooms and bellpeppers (or whatever veggies). I put reduced fat sargento cheese (50 calories) in it as well. The total comes to about 150 calories. This will be filling as well with the protein from the egg.
  • I am not a breakfast eater at all. However, by lunch I am absolutely starving. I drink one shake on my way to work occasionally and it helps take the edge off until lunch time. Depending on what brand you buy, they can taste great as well as give you protein that I normally would not have gotten if I went without breakfast.
  • I have 30 pounds to lose. Would love to lose it by June. Thanks for the challenge! I am here to do it the healthy way. Don't like to starve myself or be inactive. Definitley looking forward to a consistent exercise routine and staying within my calorie limit every day.
  • Congratulations. You are an inspiration to all of us! Good luck on getting to you goal weight!!
  • I also had the fear of doing it on my own. Fortunately I love this site. I can't wait to log my food and exercise time. The support is awesome on this site as well. I really don't feel like I am on my own. Good luck to you and feel free to add me as a friend. :) I am hoping to eventually lose 30 pounds total.
  • Hey there! This is a great site to keep motivated. This is my fourth day using it and I love it! Feel free to add me as a friend and we can keep each other accountable. I am 23 years old and hoping to lose 30 pounds. What has helped me so far is logging EVERYTHING I put in my mouth. I am not sure what exercise routine I…
  • Hi Janice! Welcome to MFP. I am the same as you. I was about 130-135 when I got married but have gained weight in the three years of our marriage. I would love to be back to my weight when we got married. I have about 30 pounds to go. This site is awesome! I have not been able to go over my calories per day because…
