  • I have an XL Glider (similar to a Gazelle) that I purchased from QVC years ago. I LOVE it. It gives you a really good workout (I tend to bend my knees slightly so I really get a good burn in my thighs) without being hard on your joints. Plus, it folds up which helps with storage.

  • God, do I understand how you feel!!! I have been agonizing over the past month as to why I cannot get my scale to stop fluctuating between the 7 - 10lbs. lost mark. But after reading Bank's "Expectations" post, I realize I am not going to be in this rut forever. I can see a little difference in how my clothes fit so that…

  • I'm in!! My body seems to be rebelling against any weight loss (I have been hovering at 10lbs. lost for about 3 weeks now; think my blood pressure meds have something to do with that). Anyways, hopefully I can get it kicked into gear and show a significant improvement by Labor Day. CHALLENGE START: 214 CHALLENGE GOAL: 190…

  • Banks, I had to read this again because I am completely frustrated! Totally stuck in a rut. Been very good with my food intake (always below my daily goals), drink TONS of water, and have increased my workouts to 6 days a week on the XL Glider (20-30 minutes each time). Working up a killer sweat every day but GAINED a…

  • Don't be so hard on yourself!!!!! EVERYONE has those days and if they tell you they don't they are lying! I know exactly how you feel. I did the same thing last week. For three days straight I totally pigged out, ate everything I wanted (nothing healthy, of course), and drank WAY too many cocktails for my own good. Not…

  • Yippee! The dam finally broke and the water is gone!!!! I was getting SO discouraged. Unfortunately, I go TOO discouraged and had a few really bad days. I ate lots of fattening foods and had WAY too many cocktails with an old friend. Not good for the dieter in me, but sometimes I think you need to indulge. Anyways,…
  • I think I am in a Phase 2 rut! What a bummer! I have only been in the program for 3 weeks (entering my fourth) and my total weight loss has been 5 pounds. I have not lost a single pound in two weeks and I've been exceptionally good. I have done extra working out and have even been under calories. My only hope is that I can…
  • What a bummer! I have not lost a single pound in two weeks and I've been exceptionally good. I have done extra working out and have even been under calories. My only hope is that I can attribute this lack of progress to water retention (thanks to my monthly cycle). Nonetheless, I am very discouraged and I may have to…
  • Thank you so much, Banks! I cannot tell you how much better I feel after reading this. :flowerforyou:
  • I'm in too! Today will mark the beginning of Week 3 of my "new life" and although I have a good 70lbs. that I want to lose when it's all said and done with, I love the idea of setting a short-term goal for Memorial Day. Fantastic idea! :drinker: Program Start Weight: 224 Current Weight: 219 Ultimate Goal Weight: 155…
  • This chicken salad sounds AWESOME! I am always looking for new chicken recipes because I detest seafood. Anything you guys can offer is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  • Hi everyone. My name is Jenn and I am brand new to the myfitnesspal community. I am a 34-year old single mom, a lifetime resident of a suburb of Pittsburgh, PA, and I am trying to get myself back to my pre-baby weight. I gained 70 lbs. with my son and I haven't dropped an ounce since his birth just over three years ago!…
