  • Hey there! I am also in the same boat. I work from home but working full time, with a husband, a child and a dog that all demand attention, it get's frustrating sometimes. I would love to motivate you and help you meet your goals. Feel free to send a message/add me!
  • This did not bother me in the least. What surprised me was that as much information is readily available out there to show you that you can still eat at fast food restaurants( and make healthy choices there, ie the oatmeal), that this was made into a rather large story. Bottom line, burn more than you eat and make healthy…
  • Thanks for this!
  • Congratulations to you! Your hard work is not only inspiring but amazing!
  • Do you have an idea of where you are going to stay? If you are staying in a condo or somewhere that has a refrigerator, maybe you are able to stop at a local grocery store and pick up some healthy snack items to have on hand. Having a few items that you can keep on you and in the pantry would be great as well. As far as…
  • It took about a month and a half. I at the time time was strictly on the cardio circuit. I walked quite a bit and T-25 became a good friend. I am now going to incorporate strength training with my workouts. Do not give up. As everyone has said, it will vary based on height, weight, calories burned, etc. Good luck to you!
  • Once a week, Saturdays, same time and using the same scale. I have moved away from everyday weigh-ins. This was too much for me!
  • What a heck of a change! You look great! Whatever you are doing is working! Keep it up!!!
  • Yes ma'am. I still feel that I should have some accountability, even if on a holiday. I know that I will be working out heavily the few days before in order to earn calories.I still want to enjoy my meals, but I do not forget accountability just BECAUSE it is a holiday. This is a habit that I would like to continue.
  • Thanks for sharing your story and tips. You started out exactly where I did in height and weight. It IS quite amazing how easily the weight can creep on. You look amazing and most importantly I know you FEEL amazing! Continue to keep up the great work. You are a great inspiration!!!
  • I am not sure if anyone is interested but I found a sweet December challenge that I am adding into my workout this month. http://runeatrepeat.com/2013/12/01/25-days-of-fitness-challenge-day-1-plank/ I definitely had my butt kicked with the abs. I know where I need to focus this month!!
  • Great! I have been looking for a secondary challenge group for the month. SW: 164 CW: 158 GW: 135 Goals this month: Get more core exercises in, get down to 154 minimum and continue to build my endurance!
  • At this time, I have cut it out. I put on quite a bit of weight because of what I drank and I honestly feel so much better without it in my diet, I am not going to say this is permanent, but for now I am good without it.
  • I am in! Definitely up for a healthy challenge!
  • It is definitely delicious. Who know one could make so much?! We have temporarily removed all of the other pastas/spaghetti's from our diet and eat this. Pretty filling!
  • I can now stay under my calorie goal and not feel as though I am starving. I am also able to complete all my T-25 workouts with less than 2 breaks throughout all the vids! Never thought THAT would happen!
  • Same here. Alpha is a great starting point but you start to crave that intense workout that Beta provides!
  • Good luck to you. It is a heck of a workout. I start my last week of Alpha next week! Cannot wait to jump into Beta!
  • I am anemic myself so I try to get my fill everyday. I snack on pumpkin seeds daily as they have iron and they are just a filing snack! I also enjoy turkey, dried fruits ( raisins are my favorite! ) I believe I read somewhere about combining iron high foods with Vitamin C to increase the amount of iron absorbed into the…
  • I definitely appreciated reading this. There are so many contradicting articles and an obscene amount of advice that it can become quiet confusing. Thank you for breaking everything down in a simple, yet concise article!
  • Congrats on starting the exercise! It really does make you feel better. I find that there are alot of youtube videos that are good. Jessica Smith is a personal trainer w/ a channel on youtube with quite a few great videos. They range anywhere for 9 minutes to over an hour at all fitness levels. I agree with the walking and…
  • I agree with the above statements in regards to being a little lax. However, if I were going to a theme park as you are, I would pack a few of my own snacks to avoid eating all of the foods they offer there. I find that something like peanut butter crackers are easy to pack and easy to grab if you find that you start to…
  • Thanks for this! Perfect explanation!!
  • Thank you for this explanation. I realize that as I work a desk job, I should have set the activity level to sedentary and eat back the calories that I exercise off. I lost quite a bit of weight when starting off but my deficit was 600 to 700 and I was starving at the end of the day. This was while I was burning over 700…
  • This will be the first summer in almost a decade that I plan to wear a bathing suit at the pool! I cannot wait! Height: 5'5 November: CW: 160 Summer: GW: 132 Slow and steady wins the race!
  • I DEFINITELY enjoy a nice white Zinfandel or rose. I would love to be able to care for a red wine but I have not found one yet. I have cut myself off from wine until I get a little lower on the scale. At the time, special occasions only! Lord knows my weight probably came ALL from wine and not food!!
  • Hey Alex and congrats on your upcoming nuptials! We are all here for one goal and that is to become better, healthier people. I am starting back myself and find that I feel so much better about myself. Feel free to add me and I will give you a push if you need it. Feel free to push back! :)
  • I love my Polar FT4. It keeps accurate readings for my purposes. It will beep to let you know if you are within your "zone". It provides the average heart rate and your maximum during the workout. I cannot link it to my Android as far as I know.
  • Hey there! It is always a great time to start to focus on your health! Feel free to add me as a friend!
