I just ran my first half marathon after not running for 5 yrs due to repeated injuries. Pregnancy was hard on my body :) I've signed up for another half in Sept and I'm happy to have found a community of encouragement! I'm setting a goal of 80 miles for July.

Eastern Maine here. I run on the university trails, city forest, and roads!

It consistently gives me 100-150 more calories than my Polar HR monitor, so I add it in manually.

You are AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL! Congrats, you deserve every bit of success :) xo

I'm in too--a little late though. I'm 5'3 with a SW: 143. I'd love to see 135 or even 130 in 12 weeks!

Agreed, you'll love it! The name describes it very well, but it's an AMAZING program that's totally worth the pain ;)

So I'm on week 2, day 2 and my upper body is screaming! Week 1 was heavy on the legs, and week 2 seems to be focusing a little more on upper body strength judging by all the push ups. I was SO sore on week 1 for about 3 days, and then it got easier. Oh and I'm pairing this workout to 6 week six pack, and that workout alone…

I just finished week 1 tonight, but I'd love to join in on the fun! I'm just now able to walk without it hurting, and I LOVE it!!! ;)

I'm 5' 3.5" and my gw is 125, but I would be content at 130. When I met my husband 8 yrs ago I weighed 132, and I looked very thin, but not too thin. I can't remember the last time I weighed 125...jr. high maybe? I'm currently 144, but I have some serious body fat to shed after having my kiddo. I carry my weight in my hips…

I just finished up day 2--can I join too?! :)

Thanks! I'm very motivated this time around, and the fact that it's only 35 min's or so is AMAZING! I'm also throwing in 6 Week Six Pack and Killer Buns & Thighs with the mix...this booty has GOT to go ;) I'll give an end of the week update--if I'm still standing :)

I agree with the previous post--running with something over your face really helps. I have the same problem, and when I was able to run I used a balaklava and it worked wonders as it warms up the air before it hits your lungs. Here's an example: http://tinyurl.com/6zkzbtl Good luck!

I'm starting on the 19th, and can't wait!! :)

Unbelievable! You truly are an inspiration :)

Thanks everyone! I love the fruit idea, because I really think I need the sugar in the morning to get me going. I can't seem to NOT eat before I workout, which is around 5-6am (before work)--my blood sugar bottoms out by then. I think I'm going to try with a piece of fruit, and high protein meal thereafter. I'd love to…

I'm starting next Monday (15th)!! I'll need all the encouragement I can get as well :)

Yeah it doesn't matter whether you give birth vaginally or via c-section--relaxin and progestrone are released in all pregnant women. It IS nice to hear that I'm not the only lady in this boat, though :) I've been doing Zumba 3-4 days a week and riding my bike in between those days (10 miles at least). I can't run, because…

Great job!! Keep up the good work!

Born and raised in northern Maine, and have been Sullivan for the past 5 yrs! I'm starting P90X in 2 weeks...wish me luck, I'll need it!!
-
Oh and just because it says it's Organic--IT DOESN'T MEAN IT'S GOOD FOR YOU.
-
I couldn't have said it better myself!

Hi everyone! I finished my first round of Insanity up over the summer and now I'm onto Turbo Fire. It's totally different, but I think I like it :) I am absolutely thinking about doing an Insanity/TF hybrid...or a P90x/TF hybrid. I'm looking for a real kick in the butt and I think that'll do the trick :) Good luck!

Okay so my reasoning isn't nearly as significant or meaningful as the rest of you, but my jeans are getting loose and I'm losing cellulite!! Oh and by the way, you are all motivation...this is a great thread ;)

"I always find it ironic that so many people will dismiss the calorie readings from a machine out of hand, but accept as absolute truth a number from a cheap piece of crap they bought at walmart." -Azdak I'm pretty sure that some of us, like myself are not buying "cheap peieces of crap" HRM's from Walmart. I definitely…

My sister in law and her parents are on this diet, and they have lost a ton of weight, but watching them go through it was torture. The 500 calorie a day part was ridiculous, only because it just seems so nutritionally wrong. I guess if you're looking to lose weight fast it's right for you, but I believe it's easy to put…

I'm back after giving birth to my daughter, Evelyn Marie! I gained 35lbs during my pregnancy and have lost all but 10lbs...but I also have some major toning up to do. I hope to get back on track with my fitness plan and hopefully this will help!

Thanks for all the well wishes from everyone! I have my first visit with my midwife on the May 5th and I know I can talk to her about all of this. It's just nice to talk to everyone and especially the moms, whom have the best advice ;) I'll keep everyone updated on my progress!!

My due date is Dec. 28th. Thanks for info. It's going to difficult to adjust to "maintaining" after trying to lose for awhile. I'm so excited!!

So, I just found out that I am finally pregnant and I have questions about calorie intake. My caloric intake as of right now is 1250. I know that's too little now being pregnant, so I was wondering if anyone knew how much I should be consuming especially during my first trimester. I don't have my doc. appt. for a bit, so I…

I agree, the last thing on my mind when I wake up in the morning is exercise. I'm up at 4:45am everyday and just making it through the morning is the only thing on my list. I workout when I get home from work and I do it before supper, so around 5pm. It makes supper seem so much tastier
