  • I did a major error and only did 10 minutes of warmup and 10 minutes of walking @ 120 bpm. The pace was 20 and was 2.3mph w/ a grade of zero. Anyway, my HRM calculated it at 90 calories and the website calculated it at 65 for a difference of 25 calories. Wasn't sure on the Difference/Calculated = % error unless it was…
  • heybales, I recently purchased a polar ft7 and got some readings that seemed far fetched so googled and came up to this thread. Today I walked 1 mile to the gym, then did a 5x5 workout with squats, over head presses, and deadlifts. The Squats were around 80% of my 1 rep max. The other two lower. Then, I walked 1 mile home…
  • You can buy a used olympic bar with weights and do a ghetto squat rack or bench press. You can use saw horses or those grey double holed cement bricks on each side stacked up as a safety catch for your squats. You can set up your own bench with something that can support your weight and do the same with the bench press.…
  • It sounds like you're a beginner op. You shouldn't be doing a bro split, in fact no natural weight lifter should be doing a bro split unless you're using illegal drugs and wanting to be a competition bodybuilder or power lifter. Split routine workouts only became a thing in the 80's when the bodybuilding sport got…

The reason is, you can put in the work and have it all be for nothing if you don't get enough rest and your diet isn't in check. Your muscles need to have days for recuperation. I wouldn't see how on your off days that if you did LOW…
  • To gain muscle you need to be eating at a caloric surplus. I'd recommend no more than 20% above your TDEE (maintenance calories). You also need to be eating .8 (at a minimum) to 1 pound per lean body mass (not bodyweight) of protein. The 4-6 range is a hybrid range that focuses on strength and hypertrophy. 1-3 reps is…
  • Women who lift heavy never get big and bulky, those women you see in magazines who almost look masculine are using steroids and other illegal substances to get that huge. If you're natural and lift heavy you won't get big unless you are eating at a caloric surplus and even then it takes years to get good quality muscle :)
  • Thanks guys, I'll just order it as is!
  • I'm looking to lose 6-12 pounds realistically before Christmas at 1 pound per week. I don't like to rush the weight loss because then you start to lose muscle mass. It should be easily attainable.
