Yeah, but who care? LOL It's still a good thread.

Awesome! Absolutely AWESOME !!!

Plus ur metabolism stays up for a longer period of time. When u do slow continuos state cardio, they say as soon as u stop, so does the fat burning.

I concur, I'm kinda on the fence with HIIT cardio. For weight loss anyway. What worked for me, personally was long bike rides, several times a week. Now, for caridovascular improvement, I like HIIT. I'm doing T25 and it has helped me a ton in my mountain biking. Hills and soft sand I used to suck wind in, now I just tear…

No judgements? I put 5, count 'em 5 TABLESPOONS of sugar AND a half cup of lite cream in my coffee. I have about 2 large cups a day like that. I think I counted 400 calories a cup. AND I don't add that to my food log. Who am I kidding!

Calories! Always! Losing weight (fat) is 80% diet. Trust a guy who lost 115 pounds. For years I thought I had to eat "big" because I was lifting weights. Heavy weights. Only after decades did I finally learn how little food the human body really needs. For the AVERAGE person. Olympic athletes, Tour de France cyclists of…

Today is my first day of sugar detox, if u will. I'm dropping my coffee, which I add tons of sugar and lite cream. AND I'm dumping all diet sodas.

Just finished Alpha. Starting Beta on Monday. Haven't lost anything on the scale. But that's OK. I do feel tighter and am stronger. Plus I started really hitting the weights about a month ago too, so it could be muscle weight. I still suck wind on every workout, and it ain't pretty when I'm doing it. I don't modify all…

Ditto. haven't gotten on the scale either but looking better and feeling a ton better.

I'm in the middle of Week 3 of Alpha and haven't weighed myself since I first started. Some threads I read where some people didn't even start to really lose until week 4. Unless of course ur doing the 1100 calorie a day thing. And I think think that's just a motivating ploy so u stick with in the beginning. I don't know…

I had the same problem the first couple of times AND still do with some of the more complicated moves. U just can't do this one or two times. I found the fun of it is learning and perfecting the moves. I actually spent a week just doing the workout at a slowwwwww pace to get the moves down. Then once I did that, I…

Yup. If your not use to weight training, ur body could be releasing a hormone called Cortisone. Which is notorious for water retention. When you first start training with weights, u are tearing those muscle fibers at the microscopic level. That's how they grow and get stronger. Water rushes in to help repair the tissues…

You have to read between the lines. I think the max "it" allows you is 1600 calories. Which is low for me as I still hit the gym for weight training, doing T25, some treadmill and stairclimber work too. But also what the diet includes and what it doesn't. The meal plan is very interesting. I think if you read it closely,…

I guess it's all personal preference. I never could hit the weights first thing in the AM. I always felt I needed some calories in me in the AM. I'm sure I may be stronger if I trained later in the day. BUT, all I do now is take my pre-workout drink and I'm fine. Plus they say training on an empty stomach really jack's up…

Was it muscle weight that u gained?

I did 2 rotations of Insanity and it didn't really change the way I looked. I was really bummed. It did however make me a ton stronger and more flexible in the gym. I'm in the middle of week 2 of Alpha T25. This time though, I'm throwing the whole kitchen sink at it. My diet is tight, I'm hitting the gym for my weight…

One "oldie" to another. LOL I have hardwood floors in my place. All I did was go to Home Depot and buy a piece of remnant carpet with a thick pile and it cushions nicely. Also, get a good pair of cross trainer sneakers. Running shoes have little if any lateral support which is what you'll need.

I did two rotations of Insanity. Did see much results, look wise. It did make me more flexible and stronger in the gym. I do T25 now. It's basically Insanity without the water breaks, stretching and cool down. Fits perfectly into my exercise regime.

Agreed. I'm on Week 4, Day 2 of Alpha. Haven't gotten on the scale since I started. I'm feeling tighter but not looking much different. And my diet is tight. What I have noticed is I'm getting stronger and more coordinated in the moves. I can generate a ton of intensity for the first 17 minutes, but then peter out the last…

Ur doing fine. I'm finishing up week 3 of Alpha and I still can't to 25 minutes straight to the end. I at least try to do each exercise. Like Shaun T says, "Do the best you can". I am getting stronger and my coordination is is getting better. It won't be long before I can to the 25 minutes without stopping.

OK, my history. I'm 53, about 205 lbs and would like to get down to about 188-189. I've been weight training for over 35 years. Running, biking, mountain biking for the past 15. I'm in pretty decent shape. I can see my abs, but just barely. Anyway, I bought T25 just to give me a really good intense cardio workout and it…

Don't worry. It's just water weight. Right now, your muscles are being damaged, in a good way, and retaining water to repair the damaged tissue. It's called the "enema effect" in weight training circles. Once your body realizes your new exercise routine, it will compensate and you will start to lose.
