I'm not in the US, but we have it here in Australia too and I hate it. I hate getting home at 5pm and it being dark. All I want to do is sleep. I would probably become a statistic if I lived in a place that was truly sun-deprived and cold, like Nordic places or even other northern hemisphere places with snow and stuff.

I also came on here to say I have no idea what you're on about.

what @sardelsa said. work your maintenance out on an online tdee calculator. It won't be perfect, but close enough. You will get a bit of a spike in weight as you re-introduce more carbs, but remember, it's not fat and it will go away again once you start cutting again. I also diet break often. Like more often than 8-12…

I think that personally i'd try to improve on the previous ones - so in your example you have 24-18-16-12-20 on one day then 32-20-20-14-22 on the next - but say I cna't get to 32 but can do 26 or 28? I'd just do that until I CAN do 32, and then move on to the next increment. It's a pretty big jump from 24 to 32 pushups…

I don't enter steps - I dont have my fitbit synced to MFP. I manually enter exercise or intentional walking as exercise - as in - if I go for an intentional hike or brisk walk for a set amount of time with intention of "exercising" and not just walking around normally during the day, even if it's a day that has lots of…

exactly this advice here ^^
-
Yeah I'm kinda like this to. I always tend to overeat when I'm being 'intuitive' - so I need to be 'mindful' - for example I serve something like rice onto my plate - then take a little bit off. Whereas if I was being 'intuitive' - i'd probably add a little bit more on. I manage to maintain when i'm on holidays and stuff…
-
eyeball your portions - then take a little bit off. try to choose better options - like the salad and a meat over the macaroni and cheese. Don't stress too much about 3 days of not tracking/eating properly/exercising. It's a *kitten* situation and will be emotional and taxing and you won't undo all your hard work by taking…

what she said ^^

I least enjoy leg day. It's the one I always skip.

Cauliflower (and every single other cruciferous vegetable now) has decided to bloat me in my older age. I used to be able to eat it as much as I wanted, now I look at it and it makes me bloat to 5 months pregnant. I doubt the culprit is "evil carbs", but it could be cauliflower. I also think perhaps you need to eat more.…

I wish I could "feel" a fat loss. I definitely feel sweaty and all that, and if you think sweat is fat cells crying, then yep, i'm feeling fat loss. HIIT won't build muscle, but nothing wrong with doing a bit of it - or a bit of any cardio - for you cardiovascular health. The heart is a muscle too, so working it is not…

when you start to do reverse grip preacher curls, which is not in the Stronglifts program.
-
You don't. It just seems like you don't actually know what you want. Stronglifts will give you strenght. Bodybuilding will "sculpt" your body and give you some strength, but not as much as powerlifting types. That's why I bodybuild - I was the aesthetic look, and don't care if I can't lift 150kg in a deadlift. It also…

hm yeah seems odd that it's the same as a front squat. take a look at this - https://www.instagram.com/p/BrgJ6ighVX2/?hl=en deadlift cues squat - low bar back squat that is, not front squat - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZuInawL0Eo

yep agree. I eat beans regularly, but i'd be needing to eat a tonne of beans and not much else to hit my protein targets and not go over my calorie goals if I was using just beans as my protein source. what you can do to make meat proteins a cheaper option, is to buy in bulk, or buy what's on special. It's still a more…

If you can afford it, get a trainer to show you how to use the equipment at the gym. Worth every cent.
-
I prefer to use TDEE over MFP becuase the whole "eating back calories" thing can get confusing, screw up your macros and will change every day depending on what you did. I prefer to know exactly how much I can eat each day, so I use TDEE method.

I responded to your thread in the other room. Basically unless you really really need your grip strength for some reason, there is no harm in using straps or grips. Belt is actually a good idea if you are going super heavy. All them powerlifty types wear them for heavy heavy lifts. So it really depends on you - why would…
-
Hey I didn't mean to come across as belittling or offending you - I think it's great that you met someone and fell in love with them and the added bonus was that he was good looking. I was just trying to make the point that some people might not be able to get past not having a physical aspect to the attraction is all.…

Ok, now, as I'm not a strength athlete and things like grip are not a concern for me, I got straps. Not the wrap around type, but the versa grips because easy to use and I use them on (gasp!) machines also. I can pull WAY more weight with my straps on than I can "naked". I use the straps on back day for just about…

LOL, me too!!

I kind of agree with this, like I said in my previous contribution to this thread. Someone above said something about falling in love with a dude she'd never met based on just talking on a dating app. Back in the days of dial-up internet, I used to go chat on BBS (showing my age) and "met" people I thought I liked because…

The bolded bit for sure. And yeah, the pills can be a not very good thing. Oh yeah, I just remembered something else OP. Ages ago, I tried Garcinia Camboja because Dr Oz and bunch of fatties at work with nothing better to do looking for a magic pill - we ordered a bunch and took it. What I noticed at first that it…

I don't mind telling my truth to random strangers. I think we all hide a lot of things that actually might be helpful to other people if we actually told them our experience with it. So, what changed was that I started to follow a flexible dieting principle. I ditched the *kitten* coach and signed up with an IIFYM one for…

Wow, Ok, I didn't end up reading all the comments just skimmed after a while, but I want to give my 2c. Ok, first, sorry but when you get attracted to someone it is not just for what's inside. At least not for me anyway. There's got to be an overall attraction for the other person too. Not necessarily does the person have…

Google. Most people here aren't local to your area. GET A TRAINER.

yes. so much this. This is what I already said in your last 2 or 3 posts OP... Just fork out the $$$$ and pay to LEARN PROPERLY how to do stuff. It's totally worth the investment and you won't be spinning your wheels in the mud...

Hello :) I can't give you a year's worth of use of fat burner stuff, but once upon a time (actually about 3 years ago), I had a coach put me on Oxyshred as well as a plethora of other supplements, as well as a deficit and very restricted diet. I did it for about 3 to 4 months before calling it quits. When I stopped taking…
