I usually have 'brunch' instead of breakfast and lunch. I just had a cup of tea and 70g of cashew, cranberry and raisin bloomer toasted. 231 calories. How about yoghurt and fruit? I'm using a 1200 calorie goal. Losing around 1lb a week.

My partner bought me some lovely 36" waist trousers for christmas, and they didn't fit. That, and the fat rolls when I look in the mirror, I decided it was time to trim up a bit

LOL, thanks Psychgrrl, but don't fear, it's absolutely fine, I'm getting plenty of calories and micro & macro nutrients thanks.

It's not all about calories though. There's no mid to long term benefit in eating 1200 calories but being malnourished. Your intake of macro and micro nutrients is just as important to ensure you get a properly balanced diet and to ensure your body is able to function well, fight off infection, etc. all things in…

As an adult male, I don't find 1200 calories as restricting as some are suggesting here. 5'11", 168lb (76Kg). I have around 400-500 calories in morning/afternoon and 700-800 calories for dinner and in the evening. Almost all home made food from fresh products and pretty low on carbs and usually low on Fat. Losing approx…

As others have said in many ways, calories are only part of the picture. It's important you don't go too far into deficit in micronutrients (vitamins and minerals) and macronutrients which are essential for function and health of vital organs, including your brain, and immune functions to name a very few. '800 calories'…

I just avoid breakfast, fill up with water (or the occasional cup of tea). I found it amazing how rarely I actually feel hungry, and I certainly never get rumbling tummy or stomach cramps of any kind. Avoid thinking about food at all, focussing on other activities.. My suggestion is, go properly 'hungry', i.e. not just…

My advice would be not to sweat the small stuff. Perhaps you should simply try to weigh yourself less frequently? Maintaining the same day, time and place is sensible, but beyond that, you're going to get minor fluctuations unless you have an amazing set of highly accurate laboratory-quality scales (as Lolinloggen…

Stevia, it tastes better than the rest!

Stop thinking about food and go do something is my tip of the day. The more you obsess, the more you will obsess. If you must have something, have a cup of tea while you're deciding what to do!

Smaller glasses if you're snacking because of it. The sweetners in diet coke aren't the best for your body, so try just water with a little unsweetened fruit juice to flavour.

That's not what I said at all. Re read my post. If it's too hard to figure out on your own, then speak to a nutritionist who will help you create a diet which will keep you healthy. This is NOT all about calories.

160-200 cals for breakfast for me (52 yr old male, 152lb, eating 1200 calories a day). I'll generally have cereal with semi-skimmed milk and a cup of tea. Other typical breakfasts include - fat free yoghurt and some fruit, or boiled egg and a single slice of wholemeal toast. My balance is roughly: 200 - breakfast 300 -…

A balanced diet is much better than popping pills ans supplements, widen your range of food would be my advice - increase your intake of fruit, and add a mixture of other foods, e.g. fish and you'll soon find your intake going up and less need for the supplements. It's INCREDIBLY important that you get enough of the whole…

Five weeks, doing minimal exercise (burning only about 100-200 calories a day on exercise). 8 weeks to get to 21 lbs loss on the same regime.
