I honestly love both and P90x is not as hard cardio wise as turbo fire in my opinion. However the strength training is super hard! BUT it does give you options to modify so my advice is do a hybrid schedule if you are interested in both! You have nothing to loose but lbs and inches :).

You need to go somewhere like Fleet Foot. They watch how you run on a treadmill and can give you the best advice on which shoe to get based on how you run and carry yourself, so you can prevent injury and avoid buying the wrong shoe :). My favorites are: oatmeal or eggs for breakfast, really eggs anytime, tuna, peanut butter on a slice of 45 cal bread w raw honey, yep I pretty much live off of those staples :) and of course fruits and veggies!

I guess my biggest question is will my body adjust? I have never quit anything but I don't want to have to quit running either. I have two neighbors who have finished this program and I am in much better shape than them (not trying to be rude), so I'm really just confused.

If you can run 5 miles you are good to go! Try couch to 5k but if it's to mild try running 3-4 times a week 3-5 miles each round and work up from their depending on your goals :)
