  • You're projecting. All I did with this post was share my success in the success story section. I had a certain goal and tailored my methods to fit what was most comfortable to me. By no means was I trying to say "HEY LOOK AT ME LOSERS! I DIDN'T COUNT A THING." I added a different narrative to the fitness zeitgeist: you CAN…
  • LOL I know. People get really upset when the way they've been doing things doesn't work for others and vice versa. I guess in this large large world with a diverse set of people there's only ONE way to do things, and how DARE you do it differently, because that automatically means you're rubbing it on. Ha, whatever. People…
  • thanks! In the beginning I did pure cardio, so running and elliptical. About a month in I did less of that (because i find it mind numbing unless i'm in the mood) and did toning videos from the ladies at XHIT on youtube. So it's cardio in that in gets your heart rate up, but toning in that it focusing on mind to muscle…
  • Ha. I knew some self righteous internet dweller would find something to snark about here Luckily it says more about you than me Cheers
  • Why would you elect to be with a guy who is clearly emotionally cheating on his fiancé? People show you who they are and if you don't believe them then tread carefully. What he's doing to her he could do to you. Also--if you were the finance, how would you feel to know your man had a lady friend he hasn't told you about…
  • Why do people think other people should change in order to accommodate their needs? Needs that are in the minority I might add. NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO SMELL GOOD EVER because it MIGHT upset someone. If you have such a problem with it, find a new place to work out, work out outdoors, work out at home, or *SHOCKER* tell that…
  • yeah just to a youtube search for workout routines. when I'm too lazy to go to the gym or the weather doesn't permit, I can get a good burn from doing workout videos in my living room. good luck
  • The 30 day challenge worked for me. My butt got bigger and my thighs were stronger, but I still had a superficial layer of fat over top my results. So I would focus on diet, cardio and squatting really to get the best results instead of squatting all alone. Squatting is awesome because you can see results within a week…
  • XHIT does the best videos, and the young ladies who do the videos are so sweet and encouraging when you reach out to them personally. They have videos aimed at various places like abs and legs, celebrity inspired workouts (i.e. the Beyoncé Butt Workout, Legs Like Victoria Secret Models, etc.), full body strength training…
  • I didn't know about the audio or lights aspect, I'll have to look into that. I also fear that sitting in silence for an hour and a half could be mind numbing after a while, but if it's as intoxicating and relaxing as people say, perhaps the time will go by fast.
  • This is my fear too! I'm am episodic claustrophobic, so I don't regularly have it but being in a dark pod would certainly activate it. The thing that puts me at ease is knowing that you can step in and out of it when you want, and can even leave the door open.
  • I'm 22 going on 23 so I suppose my max HR is near yours. I try not to go above 175 bpm. When I first started working out way back when my target was as low as 119 bpm. I sustain 175 when I sprint or jog really fast, and when I want to slow it down I just start walking at a slower pace. For me this is going from 6.5 on the…
  • I do not train for or run marathons personally, but a co worker of mine does. For Christmas she got a Garmin running watch and is over the moon about it. So maybe look into that one? (It's expensive, but worth it according to her)
  • beautiful face, nice tattoo!
  • I do jumping jacks in the bathroom, as well as squats. Really you can do anything. I might start doing planks and sit ups if I can find a way to not look silly writhing around on my office floor. I also get up and take walks--either around the block or to the farthest bathroom possible.
  • I'm at the point in my weight loss where I eat whatever I want in small portions. I don't count cals, I don't weigh or measure food, or any other of that neurotic crap. I exercise regularly, try to eat clean, stop eating when I'm full, and only drink water. Ironically, when I stopped obsessing over what I was eating, I…
  • Just going to do body weight stuff like crunches, sit ups, squats, etc. I exercise everyday because I love dancing around to music on my ipod. I don't log the calories or the time, I just have fun.
  • Will probably do indoor stuff like abs work and squats. But i'm proud of myself for clocking in two miles and 20 mins of strength training last night after Christmas Eve dinner :)
  • ] uh, this sounds like heaven, thanks!
  • Yeah this is what I thought too. I can only do belts for some pants though--either some actually don't have the belt loops or some look really bunchy and silly with belts, especially with tops that aren't long. I'll just work with what I got for now and see how my weight loss goes and tailor as a last resort. Thanks all.
  • I've had this dilemma but not within the context of weight loss. Just within the context of dating in general. I always thought that me turning down guys (nicely) would create bad dating karma and I would get turned down (which I have) But now I have come to learn that this is what dating is. 1) Why dishonor yourself and…
  • American Horror Story, Masters of Sex
  • Hey lady! Congrats on your weight loss! 15lbs is a feat. When I lost 5lbs I was jumping from the rooftops. I am 5'3 myself and I am very muscular on my bottom half, so I am a firm 150lbs. My goal is 145. 140 would be pushing it, and anything below is impossible--my muscles would have to atrophy to get any lower. I think i…
  • I know what I am about to say is not commonplace enough for it to be accepted as truth, but as I read your post all I see is a bunch of "I'm not" "I can't" "I'm a failure" etc. etc. And so it is true that those beliefs that you hold the MOST close will mirror themselves back at you UNTIL you finally decide to think…
  • 5'3, 150lbs, size 6
  • He probably meant added sugar.
  • 1) Thank you for being sorry that I happened to find you patronizing instead of taking responsibility for your flippant tone. What a man 2) My mom and I have the same holistic internist/nutritionist. She is quite the nutrition Nazi and has blacklisted white potatoes. One every 3 months? Fine. I'm not asking about once…
  • If a few repeated posts annoys you so, then you have thin skin. Also--I'd love to see you trolling everyone else's repeating posts. They're so many of them every day. Looks like your policing doesn't really work. I'll do what I want.
  • I HATE burpees! I once read that Jessic Alba's trainer created a workout plan that consisted of mostly burpees to get her in shape for some shindig. I thought "What a terrible way to live"
