You are my hero! Well said.

This is what I've heard (Dr Daniel Griffin on TWIV). As you mentioned in an earlier post, it is pretty much too late if oxygen levels decrease.

Welcome. I'm guessing you just just started this reading through this thread. It should be an interesting read. We've covered just about everything here :).

There is currently a controlled study going on with ivermectin, but it will be a while before we know the the results. The problem was that in the beginning we were desperate for treatments, and sometimes anecdotal evidence was given too much weight. So studies were done without adequate controls. We have to correct that…

The mRNA vaccine is indeed a vaccine. Yes, in the past we used microbes or pieces of microbes to pre-arm our immune system. In this case the mRNA vaccine directs our own cells to make a piece of the virus. How is this not a vaccine?

TWIV actually just went over the data presented to the FDA (can't remember the episode, but very recent). The data looks good for the mixing and matching. All the boosters worked well, with moderna yielding the highest antibody levels. There were no significant safety issues. Interestingly, when J&J vaccine was followed by…

Our shingles vaccine (US) is inactivated.

I still have these lol. I don't use them though.

Actually, the best antibody responses (quality) have been in those individuals who had covid, and then we're vaccinated, even if just vaccinated once with an rna vaccine. These individuals produced antibodies that could neutralize all the variants, and even SARS CoV 1 (2003). Now that I'm commuting again, I can keep up…

I guess it's all perspective and where you're coming from.

September is not nicer in many parts of Florida :). ETA. I see he's talking about the panhandle. That may be nicer in September.

Pertaining to TWIV, they are all virologists. The two guests they had in this episode do work on CoVid. They regularly have guests who work on this virus. Every week he hosts an infectious disease doc who updates everyone on the clinical aspects of Covid. These episodes generally drop on Saturdays I believe. The episode…

This did not work for my husband and I. They saw that we had been vaccinated, and the pharmacist would not vaccinate us again. This was just before all this current discussion on boosters. And it was not the same pharmacy we used before. So now we wait :).

There's a wolf spider thread?

Except any chex mix I've had used Chex cereal (2or 3 different varieties). Ive never had a mix with Cheerios, and I'm not sure what shreddies are :).

Where does the science say that the unvaccinated are mostly safe not wearing masks? Is that a mistake in your second paragraph?

My husband works for a company based in Kansas City (home office), and we live in NC. A large percentage of their employees work all over the country. We only pay NC state tax. I think it depends on how things are set up.

I got my vaccine about 2 weeks ago in a Walgreens. I had not stepped in a store in a year. It did feel weird. Still avoiding stores for now.

The US stopped using the oral polio vaccine for this reason. We now use the inactivated polio vaccine. But I know the oral vaccine is still used in other countries.

This actually did happen with the dengue vaccine in the Philippines. But dengue is a very different disease than Covid-19. There are four strains of dengue virus. An immune response to an infection with one strain can put you at risk of serious illness if you are infected with a different strain. It has made development of…
