  • Holy crap, deep fried is the only way to eat them. You haven't lived.....
  • Fredericksburg here!
  • What are you guessing on? I generally try to find something similar - for example, I drink a lot of local microbrews that aren't on here, so I just look for beers in a similar style and either average the results or if one of the beers listed is one I've had before and I know they're pretty similar, I'll just choose that.…
  • My big weakness is mindless snacking - especially with things like goldfish or cheez its or tortilla chips. I've found that the only real way for me to combat that is to keep that stuff out of my house as much as possible. I'm not going to gain weight mindlessly snacking on cucumbers (which I do sometimes, I love…
  • I started at 185. I'm down to 167 and still losing 1 pound a week pretty steadily. (Not this week, probably, yay for shark week, but overall). Several years ago I stared at 185 and got to about 155 on Weight watchers before I decided to stop paying for it. I gained that mostly back, then had a baby.
  • I read the first few pages of this the other day, but haven't read all of it, so sorry if this is something that's been said. I don't eat "clean." I eat frozen entrees for lunch every day. I use carnation instant breakfast, or eat special K for breakfast. But you know what? I've lost 10% of my body weight and I feel better…
  • I've recently been doing yoga meltdown and 6 week 6 pack because they are free on amazon prime. I like both of them. I'm going to rotate in her shred it with weights and 30 day shred to mix it up. Even Jillian seems to be struggling in 6 week 6 pack - and I'm only on level 1!
  • I'm in - Dalek please!
  • In to save recipe! Looks DELICIOUS.
  • Typically around 3.5 mph with an incline (today I did a program that went up to 7% but had balance issues around 2.5%) or 4.5 mph with no incline. I can easily handle those speeds when exercising outside without the same issues.
  • Jimmy John's BLT, no mayo, add avocado with pickle and a diet coke or unsweetened iced tea (right about 500 calories), Chipotle chicken burrito bowl, and I love to eat at Wegman's (grocery store with a GREAT prepared foods area). Just did that for lunch - giant NY-style pizza slice and a spinach salad on the side with…
  • I mix my breakfast shake powder with it (just instant breakfast stuff, not a protein shake). Make smoothies with it. And yes, it's great in coffee! Although every time it's out my kiddo wants to steal it, so I have to be sneaky.
  • This morning after my shower I noticed I could actually see my c-section scar because all of a sudden my pooch is mostly gone. Also I'm sitting next to a box of tagalongs (girl scout cookies) that my daughter is eating and haven't eaten ANY.
  • My daughter is almost 2, so no activities yet, but every other week my husband works until almost 8, and a couple nights a week I work until after 6, so we have trouble getting food out before 7 or 7:30 on a good day. Salads in the summer are super fast. We grill chicken on our george foreman for 10 minutes or so (or the…
  • We were over at a friend's house for a kids & parent's playdate a couple nights ago. They were making burgers, and I was just going to use it as my cheat meal, but because they knew I was watching my calories, they mixed the ground beef with the ground turkey half and half. You literally couldn't even tell there was turkey…
  • I love Chick Fil A's grilled chicken. Sandwich or nuggets, with a side salad or a fruit cup, makes a great meal. Also Jimmy Johns BLT with avocado spread instead of mayo. Ruby Tuesday salad bar. I love Subway's egg white and bacon breakfast sandwiches with pepper jack cheese and loaded up on veggies. Noodles and Company…
  • Except for the single part, you sound like you might be my husband........
  • While I breastfed full time (1 year) I lost about half a pound a week without any dieting or counting. I just gained it all back when I stopped nursing/pumping full time. If you were not losing, I would track exactly what you normally ate to see how many calories you were really taking in, then try to reduce just by 200 or…
  • I'm in! I'm down about 12 lbs from where I started with a final goal of about 40 lbs and I go to Disney World on 9/28 so losing another 15 would be great!
  • Hello all! My name is Laura, and I'd say I'm kind of nerd-lite. I'm a HUGE Whovian and love Game of Thrones (read all 5 of the books in about a month after watching the first few episodes). Big Harry Potter and Disney fan, and I read all the time. The little cutie in my picture is Amelia, and she *might* be named after…
  • I weighed less at my 10 day postpartum visit than I did at my first prenatal visit. I nursed/pumped full time for a year. During that time, I lost about half a pound a week without counting calories and with eating (junk) all the time. If you find that your milk supply is suffering from being on a diet, you may find that…
  • I haven't been on here long but what I have started doing is eating things like soup with cucumber and strawberries on the side and a banana or Grapes or edamame as a snack on days I know dinner will be kind of a cheat meal. That helps me stay reasonable even if I go over on calories for the day.
  • I do a baked chicken fajita - cut a couple breasts into strips, slice a sweet onion and a bell pepper, throw on a can of Rotel, use a little olive oil to mix up chili powder, cumin, cayenne, and oregano and mix it all together and bake. It's easy and delicious. Feeds my husband and I for a couple meals.
