  • I don't know about anyone else, but I lost 62 pounds and wanted to do something to get out of the house and meet people in real life who have similar goals. I thought about doing yoga and it took me a couple of months just to get up the nerve to go someplace new. I decided to go to a gym that has a swimming pool, classes,…
  • Thanks @Farback. Pretty impressive numbers!
  • That's one heck of a spreadsheet - you've got there. Did you set it up once and only make changes every month or so? Or is this off the dot com you mentioned? Any suggestions for dot coms for women's fitness. I just don't see me stopping in between sets to log. I use UnderArmour's app for recording my workout - it syncs…
  • OMG! That Tahari suit was 25 years old. This is one style I am glad they brought back.
  • It must be one of those emotional days for me. I got an e-mail from Macy's: "buy 3 suits" blah blah blah. I need suits, as I have mentioned before - I will be re-entering the workforce in a much more demanding role. Well, my size 14s are too loose. I neglected to buy a size 12 and am almost fitting in a size 10. While I…
  • @robertw486 You are absolutely right! How motivating it is to see everyone's NSV - some even inspire me to push my own limits. My new nutritionist has challenged me to hit 10,000 steps everyday, except weight training days. Yesterday, I had to go to work. I didn't have time to take my customary 10 minute or so break in…
  • Good News and Bad News: all my size 14 suits are too loose, so I went to Dress Barn for my favorite Jones NY separates and a size 12 pant is too loose also. Bad news: size 10 is a little snug - so I have to wait. I hope all my problems next week will be this trivial.
  • AMEN!
  • If only...
  • Congrats! on the bathing suit - enjoy!
  • Hit 10,000 step goal today.
  • @UncleMac that is hilarious and so true. I say, murses should be banned too.
  • Great job @Montepulciano I purchased a new suit too. Yahoo!
  • Very cool. Thanks.
  • Yes! to twisty roads. Seems like there should be emoji 's for Harleys
  • Thank you for your support. I purchased a Color Me a Season book on Amazon Kindle. I used the original book to create a professional wardrobe for my work on Wall Street - sooo many years ago. The book has since been updated, 2011, and I purchased the fabric swatches as well. I am a Winter, so it is very difficult for me to…
  • Hmm. That is a really good idea. Maybe I should volunteer in the evening for something bc I can't stay home and eat in the evening OR I could practice using the new features of MS WORD, EXCEL, & POWERPOINT. That will be important for any new prospective employment.
  • So I went to the other mall this morning - no parking problems. I saw some really beautiful shoes at Nordstrom. I just couldn't bite the bullet and squish my toes into what seems like even more narrow toes than I recall ever having. And 4 inches - why? Why? Why? I did see some absolutely beautiful clothes at Talbots.…
  • LOL on being uncoordinated - ME TOO. I lived in Spain for a little while and took a step class. That has to be one of my funniest memories.
  • The mall was empty. There is a newer and much nicer mall about 5 miles away - didn't want to deal with crowds. Poor decision. The selection at this mall has deteriorated. I found a decent pair of Ralph Lauren shoes, but I am not sure I will keep them. I will go to the other mall tomorrow to make sure I didn't miss anything.
  • Ok, off to the mall tomorrow. I like Clark's shoes - nice leather - upper and lower. I need a couple of pull over knit tops anyway. I can get some serious steps in at the mall. Lol
  • This time last year, I had to do my yard work over a 3 day span - not because it is large but bc I did not have the stamina. I was about to complete my first step - raking and thought - I still have energy so I mowed. By that time I was sweating profusely, it is 73 degrees today. I finished the edging and swepted…
  • @cryptobrit you stated that you are losing inches on your stomach. That alone is fantastic and a sign of progress. Even a nutritionist would need to see how your body responds to any given food regimen over time and continuously tweek your plan. Seek out the professionals, but don't quit.
  • @robertw486 You are killing it !!!
  • Holy cow! That's great.
  • Last time I went shoe shopping was in October. I have lost 20 pounds since then. I just read an article about how heels throw off the alignment of back, hips, and knees. If I really want to be good to myself, I might have to pass on the heels.
  • High heels or not? I'm a NYer, I love beautiful clothes - especially with 3 inch heels. I will be interviewing soon. I feel most confident in a suit and beautiful shoes. I have not been able to wear pretty shoes or pretty clothing in a while. Recently, I purchased Clarks - they are super comfy and about one inch. I don't…
  • Looks like you are getting sound advice from @BBee5064 Just know we have all been there. Sometimes just knowing someone cares enough to say, hey you'll be alright - is enough to change the direction of that spiral. You got this!
