  • One thing that is helping me is Leslie Samsone DVD's that I can pop in my computer. I work from home so when I can't get outside; i.e., waiting for something to happen on my job and I have to be in the office, I just pop in the DVD - it's really amazing how fast the miles add up. I just bought her newest one the Belly…
  • I do these and love it, I can log 5 miles through out the day. just remember, exercise is accumulative throughout the day. Do not think you have to do it all at once.
  • Oh my do I know how you are feeling - I'm 53 and struggle all the time. My biggest issue is my husband is a big late night eater and we are ver social people. I am just starting the Atkins diet again - I have a Cabo trip planned in January and that is my motivation. I gain ALL my weight in my belly! The Atkins diet and…
  • I have/had suffered the same thing. I tried all the over the counter stuff and it didn't work. My doctor finally told me to take Benedryl at night before I go to bed. Works like a charm! Once in a while I still wake up but that is usually if I have something on my mind and my mind is working overtime. For the most part, if…
  • Sometimes I think I have extra calories to eat as well, however I agree with not counting the everyday thing. For example, i did the 3.5 brisk walk this morning and then just did another one right after lunch. I need to get this weight off, and I'm trying to keep it at 1200 calories - not adding back in what I do during…
  • Oh I hear ya girlfriend. I'm 52 - my husband actually threw my scale away because I get depressed if I don't loose. I use the Leslie Sansome walk away the lbs DVD, just purchased Kickboxing for dummies and I work out with my trainer twice a week for 30 minutes; it's about all I can afford. I just keep telling myself to set…
  • You have every reason to celebrate! Good job! Can't wait until I reach a milestone. Down 5 lbs in one week; I know that is water weight but I'm already feeling the commitment to the change and the best part is...my husband is really supportive!
  • My advice, take "baby" steps; walk around the block, once then twice, etc. When I first started walking; I only could do the teadmill for about 10 minutes then I wass exhausted. I just finished a 45 minute walk - just put your Ipod in and go. Get a wagon for your daughter and let her ride along - she'll love it:love:

  • My trainer got me a teaser with kick boxing, I think I would love it. What video did you get?
  • Thanks for your post. I certainly have been guilty of the " no thanks I am o n a diet" stuff. My social life revolves around a bunch of women that have had a lot of cosmetic surgery to maintain their size 6 frames, and it is constantly a conservation about weight. Then my husband starts in about " such and such went on HGC…
  • So do you mind if I ask you how you lost the weight?
