God I hope this post was just to look at people's responses and not to actually look for advice. The only thing any teacher should do would be dictated by that particular schools rules and regulations. As for all the people freaking out about her food, for goodness sake get some perspective! Lots of lazy outrage here as…

I never understood dread surrounding birthdays, every year we are here is a gift. Treat every day the same and don't wait for milestones to remind you to live life <3

Lol at everyone who got seriously bothered by a bit of cake being thrown out (not just the ones having a dig  ) Grats OP on your little victory.

I tend to try and avoid late night eating, it's when your body is meant to rest, including your digestive system.

Don't worry if you don't get it, it's a 22 year old movie with a 22 year old joke ;)

My gym is a 50 minute round walk, but it's a lovely walk along a lake, so it's pretty easy to go.

Honestly I see more people bashing 'orthorexia' than people with that particular issue. The former is becoming more annoying than the latter.

No, it's just another excuse not to do the right thing. Using 1 or 2 days to sabotage a whole week. Negative emotions are part of life, don't let a small disapointment be yet another excuse not to be responsible for your actions.... Or do and stay as you are, your actions, your choice, your outcomes.

That's a good plan! I had a similar approach, I made health my goal, it took the focus of the weighloss pressure that so many of us feel and I found I was able to get started much easier.

Mfp auto tells you that you arent eating enough calories if you log so little, so realistically you already know that. It sounds like your looking for ways around it, well there isnt one. Your body needs calories to function well, one of the major uses of those calories is your brain function. It has been theorised that…

Potassium isnt just advantageous, it's an essential mineral. I suggest google for more info.

No, but I'm one of those annoying people that is grateful that they have food to eat, a kitchen to cook in etc. :open_mouth:

Wow that's an amazing personal milestone, well done! Looking forward to hearing how you go in Feb

In the spirit of the OPs post, this may sound odd, but if Im craving sweet things I eat roast pumpkin or dates, Im all for finding nutrionally dense food that fills my cravings.

God yes of course you should! Everything in moderation all the time is just about as boring as it gets, life is meant for living, going out with your friends and not concerning yourself too much is a great joy in life! I hate the term cheat day, one day every now and then in the course of a life time wont ruin anything, it…

I chat to an 85 year old lady at the bus stop every day, as I happened to be eating a banana, she said when she was young the 'health' authorities were telling people to avoid potassium...we had a good laugh at all the avoids she eaten and lived through!

I gained 5 pounds in my first month of my diet, I was horrified! I was eating at a defecit, so I knew I was doing it right, so despite this I kept going now I'm down 40 pounds. Dont give up, I attribut that initail gain to my change in lifestyle rather than let it get me down. As long as you are tracking and your…

The last few days no, but over a longer period you have much higher days so it may balance out. Fat intake is important for brain health, don't neglect healthy fats from your diet, everything has an important role.

Congratulations on your weightloss and the fantastic improvements in your health, and on top of that you look great!

The biggest difference between the 2 is Vitamin A content with sweet potato you get lots with 'normal' you get little if any. Sweet potato also has twice the Vitamin C content, and twice the manganese content. You also get a broader spectrum of B Vitamins from sweet potato than normal. Hope that helps a little
