24 days in and my eating habits have dramatically improved

24 days, 9 pounds! I've noticed since I've started eating smaller portions of different foods every few hours I feel bloated and heavy after eating a sit down restaurant meal. Went out to lunch yesterday and got vegetable quesadilla (I'm vegetarian) and all day I had a heavy, uncomfortable feeling in my stomach. Before start MFP I could have downed that meal, had at least 2 more meals, with multiple snacks and a candy bar included in between those meals!
Haven't had chocolate candy in 24 days (my ritual was a large one on the way to work everyday so we are talking 250+/day just in chocolate.) Once starting MFP my mind now thinks twice and I walk right past the candy aisle since I know I will have to add it to my tracker.

I had the same response to full fat yogurt the other day.
    Congrats on the 9 pounds!

I think using MFP makes you very aware of calories. I think of calories like money and how to spend wisely.

I've been back with MFP for 17 days now, and am 11 lbs. down(woo!). My calorie goal every day is at 1,200 max, and I usually come in under or around 1,100 a day. My stomach seems to like the restriction because I let myself have a lot of food today for Valentine's Day and I feel sooo stuffed and heavy! I may have had some tasty food today, but I'm looking forward to not eating this way tomorrow! I'm at almost 3,000 calories for the day of celebrating, and I don't see how I was able to consume so many extra calories on a daily basis before. I used to snack on so many sugary things every day, and it's eye-opening when you actually add those calories up.
I think a cheat day is ok every now and then, but I think every time a special cheat day comes around, I'll end up wanting to eat less and less. :)
