Well done on taking the first steps. I'm approaching half way, and find the peer support from mfp to be a great help which keeps me focused and accountable. Friend request sent.

I have yet to find anywhere in Northern Ireland to buy egg whites. Tried asda, tesco (their biggest store in ireland), sainsbury, Holland & barratt, and few other supermarkets. I'd be delighted to find a source for these. CBA getting covered in raw egg every time I have to seperate 4 or 5 egg whites.

Candice, have you looked at parkrun.com? It's a global network of free 5K events, which are on every Saturday. I've signed up, and soon as I can manage 5K at least once on the treadmill, I'm going live, onto a Parkrun event. There might be a event in your neighbourhood!

Well done on using the app, and for following it up with peer support - I think its been the single most beneficial element of me getting this far! Anyway, friend request sent from me 39, Northern Ireland. Anyone else looking for some NI friends, feel free to add me!

I've just finished week 2, and starting week 3 tomorrow. I'm considerably overweight and thought the whole idea at times was a bit fanciful, in that I was thinking my body couldn't cope with the stress. I avoid added sugar where possible, but have stopped tracking sugar…

12 years ago I used to be 18 stone (252 lbs) Through a 15 month exercise and diet period I transformed myself down to 12st (168lb). As a reward, I went on an all inclusive 2 week holiday, and I ate like a pig. I told myself 'sure it's a holiday' and I'll be good again when I get home. Trouble is, I gradually let the bad…

You can add me if you like. I'm in Northern Ireland! And welcome back!

Well heres the way I do it... If it goes in my mouth I add it.... If its a food made up from different items - i.e. a cheese sandwich, I would add the cheese by serving (weight/slice etc), and then add 2 silces of bread, not forgetting to add any butter/spreads. I always take the trouble to use the actual producers…
