  • I have downloaded the app but have yet to use it. I am curious, since you are on week 5, have you noticed a change in your weight? I did the C25K about a year ago and didn't really lose any weight to speak of but wanted to give running another shot.
  • You all are so great! Thank you for sharing your experiences and your advice. :)
  • I absolutely LOVE this post and I am cracking up about The Queen of England reference.
  • Thank you so much everyone for weighing in!! Pardon the pun..lol. In all seriousness... I posted because I am so frustrated but also knowing that I have to start from square one. I need to go back to day one as if I have never lost that original 30 lbs. and like I am starting from scratch. All in..
  • Thank you so much for all of the feedback. :)
  • I asked the question whether walking is worth it or not because it is really the only thing that I can manage right now. I have 2 small children and an elderly parent that I take care of 24 hours a day so sneaking in time to exercise is tough and this was manageable because I am at work anyway and have the time to do it.…
  • Thank you for the weighing recommendation. I will def. start doing that. I have to agree...the 21 Day Fix program seemed like a good concept and seemed to make sense, BUT I only lost a matter of a couple of pounds doing it. I need to get into a grove again and stay there.
  • Thanks everyone. I really wish I had a magic pill.. :) I had been thinking about adopting the 21 Day Fix food portion container system again without the workout DVDs. It's either that or I have to pull out the food scale. You are right..i just wish it wasn't so..lol
  • I am 5'3" and could stand to lose 50 lbs. but will be happy with at least 35! :) Started 2 years ago at 215 lbs. and have been up and down and have landed at 185 for MONTHS ON END!!!
  • Same here. I log the days worth every morning though i have to admit I am not good about it on the weekends. Major issue that I need to address!
  • Thank you so much!
  • Thank you!! :) And Thank you!!! Everyone is doing so awesome! Keep up the great work!! Happy running!! :)
  • I did it!! I'm a graduate! Week 8 Day 3 tonight. Including my 5 minute warm up walk of .33 mi., I completed 3.1 miles in 43:15. Am I an Olympic runner? Heck no, but....I am a runner!!!! SUPER STOKED!! :D
  • W8D1 complete!! Feeling great! 2 more days to go and then I will start working on times.
  • W7D3 done! On to my final week (W8) tomorrow!! I can see the light at the end of the C25K tunnel! :)
  • Ugggh.. a bit behind due to the long holiday weekend and my lack of motivation. Back to the treadmill tonight. W7D3 this evening.
  • Completed W7D3 yesterday. I'm a little off schedule. I felt great about it!! Was definitely easier then W7 D1 and my pace even improved ever so slightly. Still going at a turtles race but better. 13:30 miles right now. I only completed 2 miles plus the 5 minute warm up and a 3 minute cool down ( i needed an extra 2 minutes…
  • lol..Not yet but I am going to have to I think. I'm going to need that regimented program to obsess over!!
  • Completed W7D1 last night!! Feeling great about it! I can't believe that I can run (jog) for 25 minutes straight with out stopping. ME! The person that quit the program by Week 3 the first time around! Yay!! I am doing the Zenlabs C25K program so mine only goes to the end of week 8. I can see the finish line from here!! :)
  • YES!!! I feel like if I walk when I am supposed to be running then the day didn't count at all and will have to do it again..lol. You and I are at the same spot in the program and it took everything I had to talk myself out of walking for the brief moment to catch my breath.
  • I did it! I completed W6D3 last night. No walking which I wasn't sure I could do but I did it! I am actually looking forward to completing the whole program so that i can start working on my times. I am slow as molasses right now. If I was to compete in a real 5K race I would be looking at around a 44 minute time. I don't…
  • BLAH!! I actually never got the chance to do my W6D3 because I ended up with a horrible cold or allergy attack for days :( Maybe tonight or tomorrow. I HOPE!!! @KRPolo I think you may be right! It may be nice to just lump the running together and complete it all at once.
  • W6D3 tonight. I'm not gonna lie. I'm a little intimidated by the 22 minute run interval. (i am doing the Zenlabs C25K program)
  • Completed W6D2 last night. I would be lying if I said it was easy. The first 10 minutes were....ok...the second 10 min. interval was much more difficult. I did it without stopping or walking but it took A LOT of mental butt kicking to not give up. The last 4 minutes of it were killer!! lol Tomorrow will prove to be…
  • Thank you everyone! I am hoping to find a way to fit outdoor running into my life soon!! Working around the kids and their schedules is a chore and a half so I usually find myself in the basement on the treadmill after 8 PM.
  • Thank you so much everyone for the personal references, advice and encouragement! So far I have run only on the treadmill. I would be curious to see what my times/speeds would be on the road. Someday. Right now..I have one goal...FINISH!! :)
  • YAY!! W5D3 completed!! I can;t believe that I did it and without stopping once! I really wanted to.. but i got into my zone and forced myself back every time my mind would start straying. I won't win any races, have you....but I am good with just getting this program under my belt for now. Race times come later!! Super…
  • Had to take a couple weeks off of the program because I was sick and was also preparing to move my mother in with me and finally back at it last night. I completed Wk5 Day2. Holy cow! I did it without stopping but Oh MAN!! Those 8 min. segments were tough. Tomorrow is going to be interesting with the 20 minute run!!
