  • I wake up and lift every morning at 5am, so I'm right there with you. My friend has been drinking egg whites and I finally tried it - and I've been doing it for like a week. I actually don't mind it. It's fast and easy, and an EASY way to get more protein in during the day. Then after my workouts I fuel myself with a…
  • Yes, they are. You should be getting 1g of protein per pound of bodyweight, .4g of fat per pound of bodyweight, and the rest from carbs. If you need help calculating, use this calculator - http://iifym.com/iifym-calculator/

  • I'm a new member too! I must have been number 99 ;) Welcome! Hopefully we can all connect and help one another! Hopefully we can show this board some action, too!
  • Quest Bars for the win! They just came out with Protein Chips too! Only 5 carbs and 21g of protein - SO AWESOME!
  • It definitely takes time for women to gain muscle. Many fitness models go through bulk and cut phases to get their desired look - which takes YEARS. Always remember to not compare someones end to your beginning. Focus on being better than you were yesterday, you'll get there! You have to choose a goal, since you can't lose…
  • Hey girl! I don't think it would be necessary for you to tell them that you IF. If you do tell them, they may question you, tell you it's bad for you, make a big deal out of it etc. Since you say your family will revolve around the kitchen/food, try saying you aren't hungry (chances are that you won't be). If you see…
  • Eating too much is what causes weight gain. Be sure to track everything and weigh your food. If you are unsure what your maintenance is, that's where you will need to start. Be careful with your yogurt - some ingredients in yogurt can cause bloating and stomach issues. Could be causing you to hold water, constipated, etc.…
  • I drink over a gallon a day! Helps you not retain water and it flushes toxins out :)
  • Whey Protein, Greek Yogurt, Egg whites, Chicken Breasts, Tilapia/Salmon/Tuna/etc, Spinach/Kale, Beans - the options are endless.
  • Me! In my opinion, it's the only way to do it ????

  • Quest Bars are hands down the best I've found nutritionally and for taste.
  • I'm 5'2", weigh around 125 and i'm strong and happy! Do you ladies lift heavy? There is a good chance you may not be happy with your body composition due to the lack of muscle. Just a suggestion, feel free to add me!
  • Quest Bars for the win! Raspberries are a great source of fiber as well, with a lower carb count than most fruit!
  • Training the same part of your body more than twice a week is very unnecessary! Your body needs a break, I def do not reccomend this.
  • I have a dry erase board calendar on my fridge. Before I go shopping each week, I write down what we will be having for dinner each night. This allows me to not buy unneccesary items at the store, makes shopping ALOT more easier, and there are no discussions on what is for dinner - it's already been decided. Its just my…
  • Prep your food before you leave in the morning, that way you have no excuses. I get up at 5:30 every morning and go to the gym. I have everything with me including blowdryer/straightner, clothes, makeup, breakfast, lunch, and two snacks. You may think your bag lady, but results will come. Persevere.
