I have a bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich. One "everything topping" bagel thin, one cage-free egg, 14g shredded cheddar, and one tablespoon of Hormel bacon bits. Add a small apple, and the whole meals comes in at around 350 calories. I can't really eat cereal for breakfast, so it's either that ^^^ or leftovers for…

I do this quite a bit. :)

Very interesting! Thanks for sharing. :flowerforyou:

I've been meaning to post the exact same question. With the ones that only take neck, waist, and hip measurements I always get a result of like 50-55%. I'm obese, but even still... that seems outrageously high. I have a very large body frame (though I'm only 5'2") and I know that I naturally carry more lean mass than other…

That's awesome! Congratulations. :-D

I've lost 25 pounds in 3 months while eating pizza at LEAST once a week. (And I'm not talking about one measly slice either.) I also regularly eat: chocolate, cookies, chips, crackers, etc. A calorie deficit is a calorie deficit. That said, gaining weight isn't the only possible side effect of eating that "poorly". You…

What exactly is your BMR, and what exactly is your TDEE?

In theory, anything smothered in cheese should make me feel good. I love cheese so much! But in reality, I actually feel *awesome* after eating raw carrots. The taste is okay, but the feeling of awesomeness I get afterwards is just addicting! ETA... And yes, I really do love exclamation points, apparently. :blushing:

That makes sense. I had planned on adjusting my weight-loss per week to about .5 pounds once I got a little closer to my goal... But my confusion was that while eating for the estimated 1 pound per week loss that MFP had set up for me, I was actually losing double that. That is what first made me think that my BMR was a…

LOL. Yes that's the one I'm talking about in all my posts. The numbers are so different from MFP, but they make more sense. I changed my settings a week or so ago because of that calculator... I'm just curious as to whether or not anyone else uses it with success. I'm guessing you do? I wonder if the difference is more…

I know... Ideally I wouldn't want to drop below my BMR at all. But I'd been on MFP for about 2½ months by the time I found that calculator, so I'd already been eating below my BMR without realizing it. Once I found that calculator, I increased to 2000. I also eat my exercise calories back most of the time. So I'm eating…

But that would explain the differences in TDEE, not the BMR. Your BMR is what you would burn without *any* activity at all. That shouldn't vary so widely from site to site. Your estimation of daily activity should have no bearing on that. MFP gives me 1,797 for my BMR. That other calculator gives me 2,126 for my BMR.…

I'm really curious about what other people think about the results they get using this calculator. For a while I was losing about double what I should have been according to MFP. I finally guessed that it might be because I have a lower BF percentage than one would expect for a person of my weight and height. (I have a…

Seriously.. So amazing. You are such an inspiration!

Oh... Well that's very different. I can see where you're coming from. You were hoping there was a physical remedy for the emotional issues that ailed you. I can understand how disappointed you must feel to have accomplished so much, and yet still feel so unsatisfied. :frown:

Pretty much this. 60 pounds in three months is beyond amazing... But the problem with such rapid weightloss, is that whatever you did to accomplish that is quite often a VERY difficult lifestyle to maintain. I have a lot of weight to lose. (Precisely 119 pounds when I started...) In 3 months I've lost about 25 pounds,…

Holy crap-- That's amazing! Great job. :flowerforyou:

Oh wow. Please tell me you don't still talk to her. I don't think I would have been able to restrain myself around that kind of crazy.
-
She's a peach. I could go on and on about her... But I'll just summarize it all by saying that we have no contact with her. On the bright side, having no extended family to worry about really keeps the holidays simple! LOL

You had nothing but chips for lunch? I'm incredibly confused about the reason *you're* confused... You consumed only 850 calories today. Even if you hadn't exercised at ALL, you would still have not eaten enough food. I'm not understanding why this has you stumped. Eat more food. If you are too full after 850 calories of…

You have done so amazingly well. What an inspiration! Thanks for sharing. :-)

I do see a difference. Everything seems a bit smaller, and your face is dramatically different. However, I know how you feel. I was disappointed with my own progress pics recently. I felt like I had made so much progress, but the pictures told a different story. Oh well. All we can do is move on. I've read on here before…

Nothing. I still eat everything, I just make sure I don't eat more of it than fits into my calorie goals for the day. (Or rather, I try to make sure it fits in *most* of the time, but not always. ) I attribute a lot of my success to that. Because I don't deprive myself of anything, then there's nothing that I miss…

Great thread! (Saving this to my topics to finish reading later... On page 11.)

I am down about one pants size. I need new bras, as my band size has decreased dramatically. I've lost inches all over my body... And I've lost between 21-23 pounds. It averages out to around 2 pounds per week since I started on January 1st. What's strange is that I've had everything on here set to lose only a pound per…
