  • I’m not much into working out at home. I have a very small house so there’s not really space, plus 5 animals underfoot. I love the gym and the class, just need to get past the mental block of “OMG 5am is REALLY early”
  • Starting weight: 187 (not pictured) Left pic: 170 Right pic: 138 Still about 10lbs to lose and hopefully start building muscle after that, but this is the first time in my adult (and teenage) life I’ve been considering a 2 piece swimsuit.
  • I think he was trying to make amends for the fight by offering up cheesecake, and he got annoyed when I turned down the peace offering in favor of a better weigh in. It was a dumb call to then eat it in front of me after that, knowing full well after 3 years with me that my hanger is no joke, but I’m sure tomorrow once…
  • It was more like “Okay, if you want to put a weigh in above cheesecake then I guess that’s on you.” Most days I really wouldn’t care but between the earlier fight and the hormones telling me to just eat it, my resolve to not eat it manifested very poorly.
  • West of cleveland here :)
  • Honestly though, I've been running about an 11:30 mile, and I only walked maybe 3 minutes total. So anything much shorter than 3.1 would make my 35 minutes not make much sense.
  • It was in Cleveland. And I totally forgot to set map my run for it, so I'm not sure. I would hope they would have been better at distancing it though :(
  • Congrats you look great!!
  • Added you. I'm down 36 with 16-20 to go. The slow down is killing me.
  • Yes! And the urge to shove chips and Reese cups in my mouth at the same time! And the sadness at seeing the 3lb water weight on the scale and feeling bloated and then crying... Then trying to run and thinking "My boobs hurt, my boobs hurt, why must they keep bouncing!?!" Haha I'm right there with you this week. I am…
  • It sounds boring, but when I started I had a similar problem and I found limiting my variety helped a lot. I almost always have coffee and either belvita biscuits or a larabar for breakfast, a frozen meal or part of a big home cooked meal that I break into portions for lunch, and a protein bar after my workout. I know this…
  • Thank you everyone :)
  • Congrats! I added you as a friend, I hope you don't mind. I'm down the same with the same amount to go!
  • I run steady pace two days a week, HIIT sprints for shorter distances 2 days, and alternate arm and leg day lifting. Plus obviously try to eat at 15% below my TDEE, and it's worked great. Lost weight and maintained tone to my body.
  • Agreed, take pictures. Same lighting, same clothes, same angles. I've only lost about 12lbs since January 1, but I lift heavy 3-4 days a week and take pics every 30 days. The 60 day pic was such a dramatic change. For only a small amount of weight, the change to my shape has been amazing already, and totally more…
  • One of my big problems with underwear in general and thongs specifically is that I have weird shaped hips and ALL underwear rolls halfway down my butt. But thongs especially do this. When I weighed 107lbs in high school I still couldn't get thongs to stay up. I just don't have butt cheeks that really curve out from my…
  • But what if I'm 2 miles from home and there is a fluke seam stitching issue and suddenly... In my mind, that's the purpose underwear serve when I run :)
  • I have the rowdy roddy piper and muscle man Randy savage of those same action figures... I'm 32 and haven't watched wrestling since the 80s, why do I still have those??
  • I collect all of my weight in my midsection and have really oddly shaped hips and love handles and no curve at the top of my butt. So even when I've been thin, all of my bottom clothes (including every type/size of underwear I buy) roll down to try to expose my butt crack, and all of my shirts that have any fit to them…
  • I ran for 25 minutes without walking today. I wanted to throw up after 2 minutes when I started in November.
  • Because chips are full of things that are bad for your heart and cholesterol. The person i live with is battling high cholesterol and the start of fatty liver, and so the health aspects of this are forefront on our minds, and eating 300 calories of chips aren't. People who can't just answer in the spirit of the question…
  • Thanks everyone. All the kind words were very motivating during my run today and I finally managed 2 consecutive miles under 15 minutes each. Doesn't seem like much, but from someone who started gasping for air after a minute jog when I startes, I'll take it!
  • I also pick watermelon out of fruit salads...
  • I forgot about raw tomatoes because I completely avoid them. Carrots just show up in so many things, but a raw tomato is just... blech.
  • I have a shoulder that gets locked up and it can really mess with working out. It will literally make breathing hurt. I've found once a month deep tissue massage therapy and heat really work best. If it absolutely won't loosen I sometimes have to take a muscle relaxed and rest it for a day after. Mine is really bad from…
  • I have ended two really successful dates early because I was wearing spanx and was terrified of this happening. I also excused myself and took them off in the bathroom and hid them in my purse once. I am so glad I'm not alone.
