I'm 5'4 ( maybe 5'5 on a good day!) and started at 178. I've lost about 34 lbs. my goal is 40. Here is my before and after....

I hear this advice once and think it makes a lot of sense: Go out to eat and try to look up the nutritional info. If it's not available do your very best to honestly estimate what you ate by either finding a similar listing or manually entering the ingredients. Yes, you may be off by a couple hundred calories but you…

H & M is a girls best friend! I'm trying to buy cheaper but nice fitting trendy clothes as I lose weight (forever 21, h &m, and old navy). When I reach goal I"m going on a pretty big shopping spree.

I do a full body strength training routine at the gym. I alternate days between upper body, lower body, abs, and full body. I cahnge my routine every month so my body doesn't get used to the same thing. I also started carb cycling the past couple week and I feel like it has really helped me. I've found that following what…

Oh and I love quest bars too :)

Sounds like you've got them all! I actually decided to move from vegetarian to pescatarian (I try to eat only wild caught fish not farm raised). Anyways, I would suggest re-visiting a high quality whey protein powder because it is a great supplement. I mix some in my oatmeal in the morning, make protein hot chocolate, and…

I am really into a you tube "vlog" called "TrulyJess". She is an everyday girl but chronicles her weight loss journey for several years. She is up beat, positive, and motivating. I also follow her on instagram.

I did it before my wedding and was super happy with the results. She will kick your butt!

I am in love with my protein oats! I microwave 1/2 cup quaker oats. When cooked I add a scoop of chocolate protein powder slowly and then lastly I add 1 TBS of peanut butter. It is my favorite way to start the day :)

I would suggest to start with, just aim to meet the default fitbit goals (10,000 steps, 5 miles, and 30 active minutes, etc). That is where I started and then increased from that point. Basically I don't ever enter exercise in MFP or fitbit (with the exception of biking/spin class) and just let fit bit do it's thing. I am…

LOL. Thanks! And I agree, **** the BMI!
-
I do some spinning (maybe 1 time a week) but I've also just been doing a lot of strength training.

Wow! Thanks for all the encouragement guys!!! And for those of you who asked, I'm about 5'4 1/2 and based BMI charts, I'm considered obese in the first pic and still 10lbs overweight in the 2nd pic. Just goes to show you BMI isn't always accurate! I don't feel overweight now but I'm not quite at my goal weight either. I…

Thanks everyone!

It's definitely not a pull, strains, or joint pain. I can tell its just soreness from a new routine. Thanks for the suggestions everyone :)

Oops! Realized I misspelled "sore" in the title :)

ok thank you to both of you. And the man...well I don't know who he is. LOL. He just does the body fat testing at the testing center. I just assumed he knew what he was talking about since he does this all day every day. That is a lot of information and I guess I have to take it all day by day and week by week. I have just…

My husband is a very supportive man in general but I think he doesn't know HOW to support me. He is pretty fit and can eat whatever he wants, so I'd appreciate if he would stop bringing home oreos, sugary cereals, pizza, doritos, etc. Anyways, sometimes I wish he struggled with his weight so that we could maintain a…
