I know it’s seems like a lot of weight but don’t give up. It may daunting but you can start slow, move a bit more every day. Make small changes to your eating habits. It does get easier. Four years ago I started this journey. I was 275 lbs. I was almost at my goal weight and stumbled, but got myself back up.

The big 55 tomorrow. Still feel young but have to work at staying in shape to make sure that I can still do all the things I enjoy

Congrats on new baby! It is hard to get back in the swing of things after baby but you are on the right track.

Alberta here, just north of Calgary. Born and raised in Northwestern Ontario, and with any luck, will be going back to cottage country to retire in the next few years. Real cold to walk this week, -28C with windchill today, but have to dress right and just go out there and do it. Have lost over 100 lbs, but have about 35…

You may add me if you want. I started with over 125 lbs to lose. I was almost there and gained back 37, so now i'm 44 from my goal. I have been around for a few years and am recommitting myself to logging and sharing every day. It does make a big difference.

I've been slacking for the last 8 months, but back at it now, Please add if you are looking for motivation and encouragement.

Just had dinner, steamed green beans and about a portion and a half of baked salmon. Delish

I had 125 lbs to lose but have around 100 lost.It has slowed down a bit in the last few months but this has become a way of life, so quite happy with the slow progress. if you make it a part of your regular routine and enjoy your food and your exercise it does make it easier. Good luck to everyone.

Add away, hope things work out for your this year.

It all depends on your personal stats, but what it gives you is figured out on your stats. I have never customized my calories and I have been doing fine for the last year. I have lost almost 100 lbs in 12 months.

I only track outside work that takes up extra time like shovelling snow and lawn mowing.

Hi, Will join. I never saw this last year. I have been using MFP since last January and have almost 100 lbs gone. Now the hard work starts, the pounds are sticking to me now but I just keep plugging along. :) Name: Maryse Height: 5'3" Starting Weight (1/1): Goal Weight (1/31): 6 lbs 1/1: 1/8: 1/15: 1/22: 1/29: 1/31:…

Has found her noobs and is no longer accepting new applicants :) --- I would be willing to mentor. I have been on MFP for the last 11 months. I have lost close to 100 lbs. Well, i had lost 100 but have had a very bad week so more work needs to be done. I started at 275 and would like to reach 150. I have no special skills,…

I love my popcorn and work it into my daily allowance. This way if i'm thinking of snacking, I know I will later on in the evening. Has worked well for me for almost a year.

Is everyone admitting to pot smoking here? lol. Sure sounds like some wicked munchies. Would have to be half a large pizza, chips, 2 ice cream sandwiches, and wine, and soda.

I like the chronic illness/pain excuse. Sometimes the weight issues are causing the chronice issues :). And for the pain issue, weight usually helps it out too.

I've read about 5 pages of this thread, very interesting. I'm not sure if this pet peeve has been said but one of mine is people that put themselves down. Calling themselves pigs, fatso, all those terms. I have been up to 275 lbs and have never called myself anything like that. I find that is not loving yourself and that…

I'm still at the border of obese/overweight after losing 100 lbs and I get that from most of my family. I try to be polite but it angers me so bad.
-
I love this one. I don't like telling people what they don't want to hear but just get me when I see this. If they ask my opinion on that I just reply that I would never be able to keep that up for a lifetime and this for me it's about a whole new lifestyle for life.

Love your comeback, and so true.
-
You both look incredible. Hard work and dedication pays off.

I started on this journey and as hubby is the one that cooks most of the time he changed his way of cooking and started to lose weight too. I didn't realized that he had got a bit chunky until I saw this picture a few months ago. The before picture was taken right at the beginning of my journey. He has lost a total of 30…

No one can tell you what to do to lose the weight. We can give you suggestions though and maybe something will stick. I just checked that you were 18, so my advice may not resonate with you yet. But looking back I wish I had figured it out when I was younger. It has nothing to do with looks, but with your health. I was one…

Hi Muzik, you can add me if you would like. I have lost 92 and still have 33 to go to get to my goal weight. I am on every day and log all my food.
