It's pretty much always happened at night time - I think the effect of gravity but I'm so interested that people have had success in reducing their 'cankles' with LCHF. Need to drop some fat so hoping some of that will come off the cankle area!!

[quote=" You already look nice and trim (if that is a current pic of you in the avatar) though I understand "trimmer" is a personal goal so no judgement there. Perhaps weigh and measure food if you are not currently doing so to ensure you are at a deficit and/or focus on a lifting program for re-comp and get smaller if…

Wow it seems that I'm in good company! Sunny_Bunny_ that was interesting that you haven't lost weight but gone down a full size - I guess it's muscle then?
-
Of course I didn't mean I wanted to lose 4kg after a race! I mean long term. I've been hovering around 59 for a long time and hoping with a combination of low carb and running that I would shift some, just a little. My 55kg is a long term goal!

...the same... 59.4kg. I am only 160cm and so would love to be 55kg.

63 halfs! that's a lot of miles I have done 3 now and really like the distance - it's far enough to feel like a challenge but I could never go on to do a full marathon. I drank quite a lot of water during the race as it was very warm. But I agree the number of calories burnt sounds like loads but actually doesn't add up to…

Me too - I weigh every day. Update - am still the same... but it's also coming up for TOM so I'm factoring that in as well! I probably have overcompensated on the carbs since the race and was finding that a low carb high fat diet was helping me shed so think I'd better get back on that wagon!

yes! I really enjoyed it - it was rather warm so I took it more slowly than I possibly would have done so no hope of a PB but good fun as I ran with a friend and we chatted all the way round!

Hi me again. I'm in the higher end of healthy for my height, and would like to be in the mid to low. I am not tall, and any extra weight really shows (my profile pic is a couple of years old and 5kg lighter than now! ) I think stricter logging is going to be key.

Oh thank you so much for all your replies so far! I think that I have got a bit complacent about weighing everything and am probably eating far more than I think I am. I would like to try the two week challenge and see what happens - eating 'real' food is the way to go after all.

Is it too late to join in?
-
I've reread this post a few times... curious to know how you are doing now?
-
Recently I ran 6 miles in 55 minutes, runkeeper told me I'd burnt 619 calories. I'm 59 kg. and 160cm (5 ft 3)

Thank you so much for your replies. Yes, I do log, but I'm thinking I need to be much more vigilant. I ran a half a few years ago and lost quite a bit of weight, particularly as I upped the mileage. Perhaps my body is just getting used to running... I'm also thinking I need to add some weight training in as I'm worried…

Oh can I join too? I am 5'3 and in UK weight I'm just over 9 stone and want to be 7lbs lighter....
-
Yes please! I'd like to join !

It's an app you can download onto your iphone or ipad and there are free workouts - full version is £29.95 for the year (I'm in the UK) or £5.95 a month (I think). I really like it so far!

4 miles today - have beaten my challenge!!

Hello I'm Tor. I joined the March challenge a little late, but am pleased to say I completed my goal of 50 miles in April. I'm working up to a half marathon in October. I have run one before, a couple of years ago, but have got out of the running habit - Steve's challenge reall helped me to focus again! A bit about me -…

I'm going to double my last month's mileage (joined late!) so aim to run 50 miles. I want to be able to run a half marathon by May, though haven't entered one. Just want to up my mileage as that seems to be the only thing that will shift weight from my hefty thighs ;)
