You look amazing, and your baby is one of the cutest babies I've ever seen!
-
Congratulations!! That's quite the achievement :)

These are great ideas - thanks everyone! I do have access to a gym, so do you think the elliptical/stairmaster would be okay too? I think there are a few reasons why I have knee pain: 1) I increased my mileage 2) I've been running significantly faster 3) I've been less cautious about going downhill slower Well, lesson…

Honey, you're going wayyyyyy too fast starting out. I know that it may seem like "slow motion running", but your body sure doesn't think so. Look - I started out at 5.0 mph, and now I'm at 6.0 mph after 1.5-2 months of daily running. Even at 5.0 mph, my body was cramping and breathing heavily when I started out. You're…

I know the feeling!! I was running 5k in 37 mins just a month ago, and yesterday, I ran it in 30min 24s :) congrats and keep up the good work!

Sometimes, people will come visit me while I'm eating, and it makes me feel really ashamed of myself. It's not even an insane amount of food, I just have an unhealthy relationship with food and the public when I expect to be by myself.

A year ago, I was jogging/walking (mostly walking) 2 miles in 40 minutes. Now I do 3 miles in 30 min! And once or twice a week, I do 6 miles in an hour.

Great, thanks everyone :)

Your body gets used to going to its limit - its natural! Don't worry, you're still building muscle and expending calories, it just means that you're not tearing the tiny fibers of your muscles as much to do it.
-
If you're going to continue running outside, you should use mapmyrun.com instead of google - it's an awesome tool that lets you see other routes people have done near you, calculate the calories burned, make your own routes, etc... :)

Was she asian? Unfortunately, in a lot of asian cultures, that's perfectly acceptable to say... I'm looking at you, Korea.

congratulations!!

Go to the doctor!! They can help you fix it and get you back to running. You can also take up non-hip things, like strength training for upper body

HAHA your poor hubby... he was probably waiting for you to go to sleep so he could have those pizza and wings without sabotaging you. It looks like he really is trying, but it was just unfortunate that you woke up. Think of it as a treat! An occasional or rare treat. And don't beat yourself up over it - stuff happens, log…

HAHA! Awwwww <3 Once, I dreamt about pad thai :/ It's so hard to give up - it's not necessariillyyy unhealthy by itself, but restaurants serve such big portions, and then I eat it all. And then when I order a half order, I get **** from my friends. I also gave up peanut butter, but I still eat baked goods - I don't think I…

Yep! I also occasionally play Zombies, Run... Now that I think about it, this only happens when my Zombies "mission" ends... Hmm.....

I'd love to be your weight loss buddy - I'll add you right now :)
-
That is exactly me!!! All of my friends have great suppor (including mine), but I never get any love :( I'll add you

Another gym semi-noob here: I'm too scared to even approach the strength training section. All I do is cardo at the gym. Are there at least basic instructions on the equipment? I wouldnt even know what to google for to figure it out beforehand....
-
As your endurance builds, it will definitely get better with time!
-
Ain't doing Atkins, but my weight loss goal is 40 pounds, and I've already lost about 23. I'm happy to be of support to you if you add me :)
-
Hi! I know exactly what you mean - I like exercising, but my LOVE of food ruins me. Best of luck on your journey! And, of course, you can add me if you want :)
-
Starting weight 150
-
i want in! thanks!
-
Just as a precaution - make sure you don't get water poisoning. People have died from it!
-
I also get wildly selfish about food. I'm actually a pretty generous person with everything and anything else, but when it comes to food, people better back off! Again, something I've been trying to fix... I think it has its roots from when I was growing up in a under-the-poverty line family? Not sure
-
Feel free to add me too :) I'm a college student that also quit a really intense sport and gained 30+ pounds really fast. Let's try to lose it together!
-
I know exactly what you mean by the "real you" being hidden underneath all of that excess! Wish you the best of luck on your journey :)
-
I know exactly what you mean! But you've been given a heads up which is good. A lot of restaurants will have their menus up online, so study them and plan what you're going to eat in advance! If necessary, call the restaurant to get some clarifications on items on the menu (what kind of sauces, portion size, etc)
