After years of low cal dieting, I started a higher calorie + progressive lifting program last week. Noticed my tight jeans were loose yesterday. Today, after my husband and I "spent time" together, he was like... "Hey... you're body is changing!" Sweet!

I used it and I felt like I was on coke or something honestly... I hardly ate. I didn't even lose weight. Weird. I wouldn't do it again. JMO

Welcome! Good job starting now and not waiting until you're in your 40's - it's much harder. If I had a time machine, I would go back and tell my 30 year old self to lift weights and build muscle that will sustain my bones and body through my 40's. Best of luck to you!!

Hi! I think if you research progressive lifting (stronglifts 5x5 is one) on here and eating more - you'll hit that goal of 12%. Not that I'm there as I just started doing this (after cardio and restricting calories), but I look a the tone and healthy bodies on here (not skinny fat) and they all do this! Just an FYI :)

I actually did this on the most recent iteration of WW. Guess what? I had 800-900 calories for my 30 points!!! If I used 1/7th of my weekly points I could sometimes get up to 1000. Thanks for the tips! Doing SL day 3 today... every day my 'old' self tries to talk my 'new' self out of going to the gym. I am done listening to her! Day 5/28 before I notice changes in the mirror... day 5/56 before my friends and family notice... day 5/84 before everyone notices! Then, unstoppable!

I just started Saturday... I've lost 3.5 pounds already. Was using the Atkins app, but instead just switched my macros on here. It isn't perfect, but it's close (33 carbs). I have my hubby doing it, too. Made "chocolate" last night with coconut oil, butter, salt, and cocoa. Lol!
