I used powerbar energise sports shots (the cola ones!) which are more like sweets. Ran the marathon (and trained) with a friend and from the time we started running anything over 12 miles, we used to have a shot after every 4. Worked a charm and neither of us hit the wall on marathon day.

A lot of people on here seem to think that eating below your BMR slows weight loss. I've just upped my calories today so can't tell yet if it's going to work but general consensus seems to be that you should eat at least that to keep your body ticking over and out of starvation mode. Hey there! Why not try Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred? It's quick so you could do it at home while your daughter is napping. It's also very effective so you will still see results while you're unable to get to the gym. Good luck!

I've heard it's higher in protein which is why I buy it. I do like it though which makes eating it a little more fun!

Personally I think Jillian's forgotten how to count. I'm doing 6 days on each level - 1 day off a week - simply because I want to get finished by a certain date! Just took my before pics - am suddenly super motivated!

Hi there, For longer runs I wear a belt with 4 little water bottles. I put water in 2 and powerade in the other 2. The I just consistently sip away when I'm stopped at traffic lights or whatever. Hi Andy, I think that makes sense. I"ve just started it and am mixing with 30DS so am a little all over the place, but if you wanted to stick to 7 days per level that should work. Then again, if you've just completed 30DS you'll fly through Level's one and 2 of Ripped so might be worth dedicating fewer days to the earlier…
