  • I did great on the birthday - but gained a pound on my work travel to Gainesville. I'm working on it though - hopefully it will be off by my weigh-in day on Monday! I didn't go over my calories - but eating out is not good every day.
  • I'm not sure either. My kids added themselves to mine :)
  • I live in the south - so I am surrounded by delicious foods! Its a blessing and a curse :)
  • I was unlucky. Most of mine scanned for calories. I know they are there - but I don't count them. Sometimes I'm under goal sometimes I'm over.
  • I was really surprised most of them have calories.
  • Mom & I have this "thing" with our fitbits. She messages me every day and we compare sleep hours. :)
  • I think I’m Karen c in Fitbit
  • I made a 2.6 pound chuck roast last night -- counting prep time - it took 65 minutes. It was really good!
  • I did only 2. But today I plan to do better. It's my youngest son's birthday - the big '13' so I'm hoping to drink 8 cups and then some because I want a piece of birthday cake.
  • I didn’t do so good on H2O today. I was out of sorts all day. Grouchy even. 😖👹
  • I’m interested! Do a thread here that we can all follow!! Sort of like a blog!
  • My daughter and my daughter-in-law had one and loved it so I figured I’d give it a whirl.
  • It’s like a fancy pressure cooker only easier.
  • Mine is open too.
  • I’ve been drinking “sparkling ice” it’s helped me increase my intake up from zero water at least. I drink a lot of unsweetened tea too.
  • I was wondering if we would get notifications. I’ll try to check as often as I can.

  • All it takes is a few active people to keep it going! I’m in with y’all.
  • Hey y'all! I've been reading the encouraging replies on this thread and would love to be friends with any of you that are willing. I'm 56 and am post-menopausal. My doctor has really been after me to get some weight off since my cholesterol levels have risen a little. I am pretty busy and eat a lot on the run - I'm an HR…
  • Definitely keep logging and checking in. Think of it as a safety line!

  • I relate also. I am like you -- I love food - I love eating it - planning to eat it -- thinking about eating it, etc. My husband is trying to quit smoking. He talks about how hard it is to kick his addiction. Well, for lovers of food - losing weight is even harder. He's never really considered my problem "a true addiction"…

  • I know what you mean about instant results. I have to keep reminding myself that slow and steady wins the race. But I sure do want this weight off fast! I have to remind myself I love the results of exercise - so even though I don't feel like exercising I do it because it can help me reach my goals faster -- and even…
  • I usually have 2-4 ounces of water - and maybe a very small snack - a little peanut better on a celery stick - something that makes me feel like I had more but not too calorie intensive, then if it's still a real problem, I go to bed if it is not too early.
  • We all mess up - the most important thing is getting yourself right back on track and start from that point on. **karen
  • That sounds great! I'm going to do my best to check in on Saturdays, but in case I miss - there is always plan B. Thanks. Karen
  • It sounds cliche' but I always try to drink my water every day - I feel fuller and I make sure to get it done by 3 p.m. That way I don't wake up so much during the night. I drink mostly water, but I also include 2 servings of diet citrus green tea as part of my water since it is clear. I also allow myself to eat what I…
  • Hey y'all! I'm Karen, age 53, from Pensacola, Florida. I am married (12 years) to a wonderful guy, Mike -- we have two wonderful boys ages 7 & 8. I also have an older son, age 30 & his wife and my first grandchild, age 2, plus a daughter age 26. I have a really really busy life - and I have put off losing this 100 pounds…
  • I find I do better with dieting during the summer because of all the fresh fruit and veggies. I'm trying to limit bread and sweets and increase water and activities. My moods have been horrible and I've been really emotional this week but I've managed to keep binge eating comfort food under control thankfully. I'm really…
  • @joesparkle ... LOVE IT!! Those victories are sweet aren't they!!
  • hi everyone hope you are having a great weekend! went grocery shopping today and tried to buy healthy. I did pretty well. I made sure I had a grocery list and I planned our meals ahead to see if that helps. I've been doing pretty good with water consumption and exercising every day - some days longer than others - but at…
