  • There are a lot of comments on here already so hopefully I'm not repeating anything. If you aren't opposed to artificial sweeteners, crystal light has helped me a ton! I drink a gallon of water everyday so that always feels like a "treat". I still haven't completely given up diet soda either :/ so on days i know I'm not…
  • I just started it today, I only ordered one bottle but they recommend cycling for 45 days. So if I like it I'm going to need another Bottle because I think one only lasts about 30 days?
  • Great info! I just ran a 5k this weekend, would have been nice to have this before. But it wasn't too bad, definitely wasnt hydrated enough. Anyway, planning on running a half marathon before te year is over. This will help so much!
  • I'm in MUCH better shape after having kids. I think it's a mix of actually making an effort to be more fit and healthy, making more responsible choices and just chasing after the little munchkins. (; I didn't see much of a change after having kids though, except a complete lack of boobs but.. they have surgery for that. (;
  • i take Optimum Nutrition's 100% whey like pp. I too order it through Amazon, it's like 37 for a 5lb thing. I have it in strawberry but I'm getting it in chocolate next. It's not too bad but it gets old, and on days that I don't like it I just add some stevia and it's delicious again!! Also, I like that one because there…
  • I've only tried the Sabra brand? It wasn't very good. Then one time I went to the Farmer's Market and this man calls himself "Dr. Hummus" and he makes it.. his Jalapeno one is TO DIE FOR. But I don't live there anymore and I'm not sure if he sells online? So I've just been experimenting with making it at home. Not too bad,…
  • The Trainer's Edge series is really good, they're all a little old and not as 'fun' as newer videos but it's a good mix of strength training and cardio. I use them to break up my routine and i'm pretty much always sore after. I think they're great!
  • The most accurate way is to go by your heart rate. If you just want an estimate (i just do it the old fashioned way) I get a timer for 6 seconds and everytime I go to get a drink or if there's a break (in Insanity there are) I check my heart rate (you times whatever that number was by 10). They have a bunch of…
  • I really liked Crunch Cardio Salsa, there's another dance one but I didn't like it.. I don't know, maybe you will. But cardio salsa was fun and it seemed to have newer music. And time went by fast. (: Also I just did the trainers edge integrated strength training video. Not bad at all.
  • Definitely do what's best for you: be healthy and happy. And if he truly loves you, he's going to love you thin, overweight, whatever. If it's about his ex, you'll just have to prove to him that it's not going to happen. (:
  • We don't eat out very often and that's pretty much how I've been cooking their things, that's why this is so frustrating. I'll cook mine with a lot less fat, more protein, whatever it is and they feed me or I start picking up theres even though I made mine different. I'm not sure if that makes sense, but sometimes I just…
  • Depending on your goals, you're recommended to have between 1 and 1.5 grams per pound you weigh. And as for the whole 'your body can't digest that much protein' that is supposedly a myth. It isn't like a vitamin or mineral that has to be absorbed, it has to actually be broken down by the body so it's not just going to…
  • Yeah it goes by weight. When I first started I didn't know that and went through and changed them all by looking it up online.. It's still not as accurate as going by heart rate but it's nice to have an estimate.
  • I definitely need to work on that, I have always served my daughter more than she will eat. And I'm getting into a bad habit of doing it with my twins too.
  • Haha they're all under 3.. I would really be in heaven if they could do their own dishes! Thanks for all the suggestions, I will definitely try. And I'm not easily grossed out I guess.. but I will just think about how it NEVER tastes as good as mine did because it is cold.
  • GO FOR IT! Like others have said, you'll be inspiring to those who aren't that fit right now and it'll be less intimidating. And they'll see you (No offense, I didn't even look at your stats or anything) doing it and it'll seem more attainable. Plus, you won't always be overweight and it'll help you stay more strict on…
  • Right before bed, or just night time in general. I've started 'completing' my diary for the night so I "cant" eat anything else. im the worst late night snacker.. i never knew.
  • It'd be best to do a combo of weights and cardio. You aren't going to burn a lot of calories doing strength training though, so if you're looking to lose weight cardio is the best way to go. The strength training is just going to help you in building lean muscle and that'll just help your body be more efficient in burning…
  • I also think maybe it's how they used to do cesareans compared to now? My twins were delivered by c-section and my mom kept telling me how much she hated her scar and stuff. She had to have a tummy tuck and I was so worried but my doctor mustve been a miracle worker because I don't have a pooch or anything.. and maybe it's…
  • Butterball makes a thin n crispy "everyday" turkey bacon that's AMAZING. I don't eat pork, so I can't really compare it to 'real' bacon but this is the best turkey bacon I've ever had and it's the only one that actually gets crispy *that i've tried* without pretty much burning. Hope that helps!
  • I can't get over how similar our stories are! I'm also training for my first figure competition, I have twin boys and a daughter under 3. It started out as just wanting to get active but.. competing just sounds so amazing!! Good luck with everything that you do!
  • Right?! And if you don't want to hear about it, you cant even turn on the TV.
  • Soda ): I know at some point I'll have to, at least "pre-contest" but.. it's my biggest vice! I know that sounds ridiculous, haha but I just can't see myself surviving without it. Haha
  • They have online calculators but they aren't as accurate as if you went in to a gym or something like that and had them use calipers. But it is free and it can give you an estimate at least. http://www.linear-software.com/online.html
