Did you put your stats in and see what MFP recommends? Are you watching the macros to see if you are even close to the recommended amounts? MFP builds in a 500 mg daily deficit in the recommendations and is enough to lose about a pound a week (not sure how that translates to kg) Also remember your weight fluctuates every…

good reasons, you can do it

Same here. Forums work fine but can't access the diary or home on my computer. I saw a post in the "news & announcements section that says they asked that we change our password a couple months ago after the hack that occurred. Anyone who did not change their password would be denied access to the site. I changed my at…

welcome. Did you enter your stats and get the recommendations from MFP? The "last few" are the hardest for some strange reason. Just eat smaller portions of what you are already eating.
-
what are the recommendations from MFP? that number includes the 500 calories deficit for the day. follow that for a few weeks and see what happens. Don't drop your calories too far.

you're right every fraction counts :) and you know that we shrink as we age. I was 5'3+ now in my 60s I'm at 5'2

good luck, start with small goals and keep at it

Like you I have no desire to do extreme dieting - just portion control and keep the calories in control. I did not gain weight with either of my pregnancies- 2 kids - but I put on at least 40 pounds after I hit 40 (I'll be 66 next month) years ago. I did not consider myself obese at 175 but the doctor told me to lose some…

Hi, keep up the good work
-
I find that eating a little extra one day a week helps trigger the losses.

welcome to the forums. keep up the good work.

make a plan and do your best to stick to it, but don't be obsessive about it

did you let MFP give you a calorie recommendation for your goal?
-
after entering your stats here in MFP, start with keeping a diary of the foods you eat for a week or two, look over the list, then tweak your food choices to meet the goals set for you. make small changes and stick with them for a week or two before changing more. it is easier to adapt to small changes and stick with them.…

welcome back, you can do this again.

Most vegetables keep several days in the fridge and can be frozen before or after cooking. My husband is the same way so I always freeze the leftovers in small containers or just eat the same vegetable for several days in a row. You can fix them different ways so they don't get boring.

congrats on quitting smoking.

Just for today: I will stay positive!

good luck with your journey to weight loss. try eating smaller portions - even a spoonful makes a difference. what are you eating after dinner?

The sugar in fruit is natural and good for you. It's the processed, added sugar you need to worry about - or not. I track sugar but always check where it came from. When I subtract the fruit and milk it is usually in a good place, so I don't pay attention to the red numbers.

whenever you can take a break, walk to the other end of the house and back. walk around the kitchen while preparing meals, walk the long way to wherever you need to go in or out of the house. just keep walking

As you lose you need to eat fewer calories to keep losing. Have you recalculated your calories?
-
make a food plan, keep up with logging, and you'll get there

since the info is given based on 100g that is what I would use. all the macros are given on the label based on 100g
