Hi I’m 33 I have 2 children and I’m
A single parent my youngest is 9 months old.
Really struggle with my weight all the time, was only ever slim when I was at collage and studied dance for 3 years.
I’ve lost all motivation and self esteem so am kicking my *kitten* to do something about it.
I don’t have a desire to be a size 8 I just want to be what’s happy and healthy for me so I have just over 3 stone to loose to reach my goal.
So far I’ve been 500-800 cals under each day and been having a drink when am hungry before I reach for food.
I am feeling really hungry but I think that’s just habit of eating what I want when I want which is why am
In this mess now.
Any help or tips to give me a big boost in loss so I can feel really motivated would be great.

what are the recommendations from MFP? that number includes the 500 calories deficit for the day. follow that for a few weeks and see what happens. Don't drop your calories too far.

I'm new here, too! I'd love to find some motivating friends on this site to keep me coming back. My goal is to lose 60 lbs and actually keep it off. I have dieted in the past--and I've seen a lot of success, but I have a hard time dieting long-term. Once I hit a goal of 20 lbs., I feel the need to celebrate with all the things that made me gain weight in the first place! Once I start that "celebration," I lose my resolve and gain the weight back. It's embarrassing, but at least I have learned my pattern. My goal isn't to lose all the weight overnight, but to change the way I eat so I can slowly make my way down to a healthy weight and stay there.

Fun fact: I'm a newlywed! I just got married in September and I have a Caribbean honeymoon cruise coming my way in February! Looking nice for that would be a great bonus.

I would suggest you just try to stay barely under instead of 500-800, you won't feel as hungry all the time and in the long run will be better for your metabolism and actually help you lose weight
