  • Yay! I'm glad you loved it. I was about halfway through the 4th book. My 2 year old somehow managed to delete it. Had to wait for a copy at the library. It finally was available yesterday. I'm very excited to finish it. I love Harry Dresden. He is so funny and weird.
  • That stinks! I hope you find something. There is nothing worse than laying in bed unable to sleep even though you are completely exhausted.
  • Have you tried Melatonin? It's what your body makes naturally to help you fall asleep. It's the only thing I've found that helps me. It doesn't leave me with medicine head in the morning. Other than that I've got nothing. I know how frustrating it is. When I was younger it was easy surviving on 1-3 hours of sleep a night.…
  • You beat me to it. I was going to go edit my post to add that if you overexert yourself during the warm up the rest of the workout will be extremely difficult. I push myself during the warm up but I don't drain all my energy because I want to make it through the entire workout. I use it as an actual warm up- a chance to…
  • If you can't do weight bearing then this is not for you. Sorry- didn't realize you couldn't bear any weight. :blushing: You are on your feet for the majority of the workout (if not all of it). Once you are healed I would totally recommend it!
  • Insanity uses only body weight. You can go at your own pace and modify as needed.
  • That's a little surprising. I'm an almost 200 lb 5'4" woman and I can get through the warm ups without stopping. I stop as little as possible during the workout. If I do stop it's for 2-5 seconds and then I'm back in it. It's hard but it's not impossible.
  • It's a series of DVD's. It's broken up into 2 months. You start with a fit test and take it again every 2 weeks so you can measure your progress. Month one is brutal but fun. You do a lot of variations on push up, squats, jumping jacks and ab work. I am half way done with month 1. Can't tell you much about month 2. All…
  • For Insanity, look up the calendar. It will show you what to do each day. 30DS you do each level for 10 days straight. I've done both (currently doing my first round of Insanity). I like Insanity so much more. I had a lot of knee issues with 30DS- even though my knees are usually just fine. I have had zip with Insanity.…
  • Yay! It's so exciting when you can finally see how you actually look (not what your head tells you). :flowerforyou:
  • I'm so glad you are enjoying them! I love them. The first one is a bit slower. They pick up a little as the series goes on. I love how James Marsters reads them. I love the little bits of random humor! I usually listen to them when I'm doing housework. Makes cleaning go much faster!
  • Are you following the calendar? If I did Plyo every day I would have quit the first day! I am following the calendar and it is such a nice mix of things.
  • Plyo kills me! That was my workout last night. I hate that one. I would rather do Pure Cardio 2x. I feel great once I'm done, though! Keep at it. Believe you can do it! A month ago I would have never thought I could do it but I have! This fat chick is doing Insanity! I love it! Keep pushing play and do the best that you…
  • My husband and I started it almost 2 weeks ago. I am not a small girl- about 197. My hubby is around 230. It's been tough but we love it! It makes you sweat in places you didn't realize you could sweat (ankles!). Just go at your own pace. Modify as needed. I suck at push ups so I started with "girlie" push ups and am now…

  • They are about a wizard in Chicago. He is the only practicing wizard and helps the police solve supernatural crimes. It doesn't sound terribly interesting but there are some moments of great wit and humor. The story lines are captivating. I'll admit- I only started listening to them because they are read by James Marsters…
  • I love listening to the Harry Dresden books - the author is Jim Butcher. I also like listening to Janet Evanovich books on tape. They are funny and cute.
  • What day are you on? Can you not go on physically or is it mental? I know that if I freak myself out about the workout it's so much more difficult to get through. I just finished day 10. It has been extremely difficult but I just go at my own pace and take breaks if needed. I get a little better each day. If you are…
  • This! When my oldest was a toddler he refused to sit in a stroller. He wanted to be out walking. When him and I would go to high traffic areas I would sometimes use a leash- on about 3 or 4 occasions (Mall of America, Renaissance Festival, crowded zoo). I had people come up to me and yell at me. My son was not naughty or…
  • I am finishing up week 1 and from what I've read some people don't lose any weight until the 2nd month. Don't freak about not losing anything. Stay with it and the weight will start to come off! Here's the link to an Insanity forum. It's a great place to go for support and questions.…
  • Here is a link to a group that does Insanity- from beginners (like me) to hard cores that are on their 2nd or more round. It's a great place for motivation and support! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/678634-insanity-updates-progress-new-group?page=2
  • Our youngest is named Gus- from Gus-Gus the mouse on Cinderella and Gus on Psych. Our oldest is named Logan. I think my mind subconsciously picked that name because I have a huge crush on Wolverine and have since I was about 8 or 9. :blushing:
  • I did it last week and it is a killer! Wasn't able to watch tonight but when we catch up with it I'm sure my body will hate me! My kids love the Phineas and Ferb workout! We have had to make some for shows we watch regularly but weren't on the list. My oldest is obsessed with working out during shows now
  • I wasn't much of a gamer until I played Dragon Age. I would play Sims now and then in college. I fell in love with Dragon Age. I love the games and the books. I'm hoping the get the comics soon. I highly recommend it!
  • I love RPG's. The Dragon Age series is by far my favorite. I also love all the Fables (3 the least, though). Skryim would also have to be on the list. I want to get The Witcher. No money or time makes that a problem, though. :frown: I love playing the Lego games with my kids. Lego Batman is a good way to relieve stress-…
  • Wow! That is amazing! Great job and keep up the amazing work!
  • Last summer I lost weight. I gained most of it back this last school year. Too much stress! I'm trying to get back on track this summer. I am at a new school this coming year. I'm hoping that the stress level will be much less. Last year I actually would lose chunks of hair because the year was so awful- all because of one…
  • I saw House Cup and had to click. I love Harry Potter and I love this idea! I would love to join!
  • I got my hubby hooked. We have been trying to watch an episode or two most nights. It is so good! My husband really like Stargate: Universe. I never go into it. It was just too dark and boring. Every time we watch BSG I can't help but think that SG:U didn't work because BSG already did it so well!

  • That looks like something my grandma would keep in her pantry. Gross!
  • I did not puke. My hubby almost did. It took him about 2 hours to recover from the fit test. I did day 2 today- the plyo cardio circuit. It was killer but I finished it!
