It sounds to me like he knows you’re bummed and he’s trying to encourage you but he’s not going about it the right way.

I eat it like you would pb and jelly. My daughter is allergic to peanuts, so I guess we’re just used to it. It’s also good with celery or apples.

I personally just make the calories in my coffee creamer fit. I’ve given up a lot of things, but you can pry my Coconut Creme coffee creamer out of my cold, dead hands.

I’ve been right on the edge of the plus size department for a while now. Got a new dress the other day and needed an 18/20, weighed and was over 200 lbs. I just don’t want to do it anymore. I want to change my habits and be healthier. I’m tired of hating pictures taken of me, too. I’m just over being fat.

You might consider that just as fitness has become your outlet, food has become his (as you said). Perhaps he’s afraid without you there to do it with him, he’ll fall back into old habits (like drinking, as you said “we don’t drink anymore”). ETA: that’s no acceptable reason to be angry, just a thought I had.

Well I was thinking I can start with 10s and I can purchase the next step up. But I’m not opposed to body weight either. I’m just sick of being fat, yet I have no idea what I’m doing. I’ve only ever fad-dieted my way down the scale and obviously that’s not working. Maybe I’ll be getting weights for Christmas!

I suppose all of the “hand weights” classify as dumbbells. I’m not hip to the lingo! But Youtube is genius, I don’t know why I didn’t think of that! PS I have no idea what PR’s are! :#

Currently all I have is a set of 5lb hand weights, a set of 10 lb hand weights, a 10 lb kettlebell and some 30 lb dumbbells that are my husband’s.

Yeah I thought about it, but there’s no reason my family can’t enjoy them. I’m just gonna have to practice willpower and be committed to this change I’m making.

Oh man, I would but I just "treated myself" too much this weekend! And having no idea what the recipe is, I don't want to guesstimate the calories. My kids will love them, and probably my husband too. But I was determined not to have another treat for a while, starting today. Must. Stick. To. Guns.
