Mine is always open as well... don't be scared if you add me!

I want to love it so much that I talk myself into it most days. The times that it feels so good make me come back and suffer through all the times it drags on.

Smoothies.

Run. Then squat. Then elliptical. Then squat. Then bike. Then squat.
-
So fun. Can't wait to go to the gym now!

The problem with lighter weights (and higher reps) can be people not actually using their muscles to lift the lighter weights, relying on momentum or just not giving a good squeeze on each lift/lower. This is not an option with heavier weights. As long as you are focused, lighter weights/higher reps should be fine.

Enjoy yourself but don't go crazy. Hit the gym up or the outside track, or do at least one active thing a day, and then forget about it. Just because all that food is there doesn't mean you have to eat it, but you can try it!
-
I can't see your diary, but I have to wonder if you are eating enough before your workouts/throughout the day to sustain how hard you are exercising. Check that out if you haven't already. Good luck.

Love to hear more of these! I'll add some as I learn, I just got a crock pot and dutch oven for Christmas.

Go. To. The. Doctor.

Stairs. And every exercise I ask my patients to do, I do with them.

LOVE the special K cracker chips. And the best (worst) part, is you can eat the whole box and its only 400 some cals. (Don't judge, I know already). Also- homemade popcorn in a brown paper bag in the microwave- good ish.

My pic on here is my friend and I (on the right) after the Warrior Dash last month- knee length nike pro compression shorts with tight black shorts on over it, and my under armour elastic headband. It was my first mudder and other than donating my sneakers after, my whole outfit worked pretty well for me. They were old…

Wear tight clothing. Spandex under your shorts or leggings, close to the body shirt, tie your shoes very tight, and don't like them too much because they will not be worth anything after your race. Tie your hair back securely (I did a french braid with a bun at the bottom and a headband). Have fun and good luck!!!!

Great job! Your hard work has so paid off! :smokin:

Welcome (back). I've been in the same place-- no one on here will know if I'm not keeping up right? Good luck with your new gym and you last training session- I'm here for you!
-
We are here for you- not only is your upcoming trip a great motivator- but everything you have been through shows you how strong you can be when you want to and are ready to. Now's the time!
-
I'm in too! I'm always looking for any addition to motivate me and share progress with!
-
WELCOME BACK! You have been missed- and I know with us back on here together we can do it- with whom ever else wants to join us! xoxo

I'm 5'8" and my goal is around 165lbs, hopefully to stay under 168lbs since that seems to be my trouble weight where things start going back up not down. I'm happy to be friends with anyone in this range so we can keep each other moving!
-
I go through phases where I think pull ups and push ups are THE thing I need to do- I'm in a pull up phase now. I previous was able to do 5 solid ones after about a month of practice. Now I'm back to 1 sorta pull up.

I find that chocolate milk after a workout like p90x keeps me from getting TOO sore. Haven't tried regular milk because I just don't like it.
-
I like to put my breakfast and lunch in before I go to work, and then dinner/snacks at the end of the day. I find I don't have time to add things while I'm at work so I try to to eat things I didn't already account for. Sometimes it works for me.

Agreed. Sweating while working out is alright with me. Now sweating in nice clothes not moving- gross.
