I started out at 220, now down to 151lbs. It's taken me a few long hard years to get here but it's been so worth it! Best advice I was given and can pass on: don't give up. if you have a bad day, it doesn't mean the end of the world. you just need to keep going :)

I don't normally do this, but why not? A difference of about 70lbs over two years.
-
I know how you feel! I've been at this since 2011. In 2012, I gained back 20 lbs but it was only this May that I started to focus on a healthier lifestyle and lost the 20lbs (and more!) I gained back. I still have a long way to go, about another 40lbs, but all I need is time. Seriously, don't be too hard on yourself, as…

You're consistently going over on your sugar levels, and they're not entirely from natural sugars. Most of what I saw in your diary was from processed, refined sugar. It's fine to eat (in moderation) but you're having it almost every day. In my case, I was in a similar situation. Once I lowered the amount of refined sugars…

In my home, my mother makes a different version of chutney which is so yum: cilantro garlic oil green chilli (taste from green chillies is the best but you can substitute with other kinds if you can't find any) Put it all in a blender and blend. It's a great accompaniment with salads, wheat rotis etc. (Also, YAY Indian…

Agreed. As an Indian myself I find it irritating when people from other cultures make thoughtless remarks/quips about something that they feel doesn't fit in with their norms. I don't particularly believe in this way of eating/living myself but there are some people that do and disrespecting them and their views on it only…

Young(ish) Brit here. Feel free to friend; I know how hard it is getting back into losing weight!

Hi :) I'm 27, living in London. I stalled sometime last year too but am back on it again. I roughly do the same exercises (apart from horse riding). Feel free to add x
-
27 :) Lost a lot, still got a lot to go though.

What kind of food are you eating? It might help knowing what your macro intake is to pin point why you aren't losing. Also, are you exercising? I fell out of MFP a while back, regained some weight and am now back into the swing of things but hope I can help ^^ Also, add me if you'd like to see what I'm doing food…

Londoner here! I exercise almost every day (except one rest day). Add me if anyone is looking for motivation/support with nutrition and exercise. It took me YEARS to realise that nutrition followed by exercise actually works --.--
-
I'm on L1 Day 5! Going strong (by strong, I mean sounding like an elephant in heat during the exercise). Add me if you're looking for support ^^

I'm in the same boat. I lost nearly 50lbs, gained back 20 and am back on the change again. I became complacent with my portion sizes and thought it was ok not to log. How wrong I was! I'm currently back into the swing of it, although my weight fluctuates --.-- Hope you don't mind but I've added you. ^^

Height: 5'6 Weight: 176lbs I currently wear a UK 12 trouser which I believe is a US 8, and a size 12-14 top (US 8-10). Really interesting thread to see where everyone is at.

Well done! It's a hard 30 days and anyone that finishes it is amazing. I'm just coming out of my lurk-dom to say that this is the the only DVD that makes me feel happy after I've worked out! (weird, I know) I'm currently on Day 4, looking forward to completing the 30 days! Oh, and my entire body is just one big ache. That…

The first picture was taken at the end of 2008, but I weighed roughly the same until the start of 2011 when I decided enough was enough. The second picture was taken today 31/12/11. It's been a long, rough ride and I still have about 20lbs to go but I know this journey has changed me forever! Congrats to everyone on this…

5"6 (and a half) :D My goal is to be in the 120-30s, that way I have room to fluctuate in that range without being too uncomfortable. Generally though, I'm just looking to lower my fatty BMI ^^

Ah, you see, it's statements like these that tend to annoy people. I wasn't planning on responding to this thread, even though your original post made me raise an eyebrow. I do agree that eating as organically as you can is ideal, but I keep my opinions on that topic to myself. I don't like being told what to do, and I…

In awe right now! You look great :)

Terrific work! 126lbs gone is seriously amazing and I admire your dedication.
-
Totally in! I doubt I'll lose that much by June, but I'm hoping it'll be close!
-
That's amazing and you look wonderful. Keep up the great work!
-
You look so healthy and fit! I completely understand how you felt/feel. Having always been the big one in class/family knocked my confidence around a lot. It's not a nice feeling, and to this day the scars are still there. It's good to be healthy ^^
-
I would give anything to have a body like yours! Honestly, you look beautiful. Please be aware that how you see yourself isn't how others see you!
-
Well done! It's amazing even if the scales don't move, the inches drop quickly!
-
Seriously, I am speechless. You look like a different person but you look so healthy and beautiful and just radiant!! Your hard work payed you back in GREAT way!
-
Thank you so much! That pretty much underlined that I've been putting my body into starvation mode as I'm not eating enough to balance out my exercise! I'll try and find more calorie dense/protein enriched food to help with the weight loss. @ michelletyler38 - I'm in awe right now looking at your before/after pictures.

No, I meant the food that satisfies my hunger. Once I'm full, I stop eating but that often leads to me being under the recommended net of 1200. So i was wondering if my net calories has to be 1200.

Keep up the great work!! I'm also looking to get in the healthy category, and was recently in the obese category. Not anymore though! We can do this!
