Well this is a pretty cool observation for me on Day 3: If I look at the label and pay attention to the # of calories in a serving size, I'll eat that much or less, and I don't feel hungry. Then, when I do feel hungry, I just do it again. And eating a lot of lettuce with a serving of tasty dressing is really filling with nearly zero calories. Hmmmm.
Just have to keep this going with the late evening munchies, which are just boredom-based or bad habits, come knocking.
Question: I think the conventional wisdom is to weigh yourself only weekly. Do you do that? Is it motivating or discouraging to you to weigh yourself more frequently?0 -
Accountability Group for Michelle's Challenge Participants
Hi,
I floated a comment that I think I'd be more successful if there were someone who'd keep an eye on me to offer encouragement regularly and a swift kick in the virtual *kitten* if I (as I do way to often) slack off, lose sight of the goal, and just stop.
So, I'm going to start a topic called "Accountability Group for Michelle's Challenge Participants" and hope that at least one person wants to hold me accountable and expect me to do the same. I think it could work really well with 2, 3, or up to 6 people. If there's more interest, I suspect it would be best to start a second group.

Awesome!!! It is all about portion size and actually knowing what you are fueling your body with. Have you tried drinking a bottle of water before each major meal??
I understand about the boredem eating...that's something that I am batteling with as well.
I only weigh my self weekly. As a part of my eating disorder I would normally weigh myself anytime I went to the restroom. It is best to weigh yourself weekly right after you use the restroom in the morning.0 -
How am I doing? 563 calories burned I'm gym earlier, getting ready to head back to gym. Called to make apt with a trainer to add a good circuit of weights to my Cardio workout so hopefully will see her in next cpl of days.0

This week challenge wasn't so bad. The weather here has been lovely for the most part, so taking those extra steps was a breeze.
This past week was rough, fell off the fitness wagon in a big way,:ohwell: but I"m back stronger than ever! (woot woot!) :bigsmile: Hope everyone had a better week than i did. Will check back in to see this weeks mini challenge. Later gators!

I lost 1.2 pounds this week. I have to be honest that I'm not exercising as much as i should and don't always get in the 8 glasses of water per day. But, I'm not too disappointed with 1.2 pound loss.0 -
