What is the September Tribal Challenge?

I'm adding staying under my calorie goal to my commitment! Thanks!
-
Wow! That makes me wanna run with you!
-
Fantastic!

I hear you! I've been a registered nurse for 11 years now, but I still remember nursing school and that final cram for NCLEX. I love your commitment statements!

If you buy fresh and don't eat it all, freeze it before it starts to go bad (if it is freezable). I caught some corn on sale for 5 ears for a dollar, bought a bunch and froze it, still have some and saved money.

Look up some healthy, kid friendly (if you have kids) recipes that suit your taste. Then make a menu for the week (write it down and slap it on your frig). Then make your shopping list (I make a list of all household and grocery items needed for the week as well). Through the week stick to your menu. It is working for me…

I think no matter how you approach this topic, you will come out sounding discouraging. Maybe setting her goal high is giving her the motivation to work harder, be stronger, put that doughnut down and pick up the apple? Don't say anything unless it is "YOU CAN DO IT"!!! .....and if she doesn't quite make it, make a big…

Thanks!

I don't know about playlists, but I found my motivation to exercise everyday. I am an avid reader and now I can't read. I can only listen to audiobooks and only when I am exercising. So, if I want to find out what happens next, I have to walk or jump on the ellipitcal. Really working for me when music did not.

I'm 5'11" and my goal weight is 190. I have been 190 prior to pregnancies and wore a size 10 and looked really good. I'm a very muscular person and I will never be within my "ideal body weight" range(top end is 179). At 190, people were telling me I looked too skinny...go figure.

Wow, she sounds like she needs a good whoopin'.....but for real, she's not worth the trouble it would cause you. You could definintely ramp up your workouts by fantasizing about smashing her face though....seriously, I feel for you, that is a really tough situation to be in. Rant and rave here if you need to, but stay out…

Hmm....check out a book on self esteem, read it, apply it and get rid of this loser. When we feel bad about ourselves it is easy to accept and be around people who are not kind to us...because we receive the negative feedback from them that agrees with what we feel about ourselves.

Maybe a large ace wrap on top of your sports bra?

Are you yellow or orange any where else? Like the whites of your eyes? Any other symptoms, such as fatigue, nausea or abdominal bloating? If you have any of the above symptoms you should see your doctor as soon as possible as it may involve your liver...

Good point.

I never thought of using a new tattoo as a reward....I will now!
-
I wanna be like you!!!! You look fantastic! Great inspiration for me.....

Thank you all for your suggestions and there is a great pearl of wisdom in each of them that I will apply! Good to feel like I'm not in this alone......roxy

What about fruit, lean protein and complex carbohydrates? Try eating a 1-2 ounce portion of lean meat with each meal/snack (being mindful of your calorie goal). Also, you might try eating 200 calories over you calorie goal for a few days, then resume eating at or below your calorie goal--you body might be rebelling.

Cindy, don't look at the total amount of weight you need to lose! That is too overwhelming and can be horribly discouraging! I am 5'11" and weigh 307 pounds; I need to lose another 127 pounds and if I thought after every pound lost that I still had 126, 125, 124 to go, I think I would just give up and eat a whole chocolate…

Several embarassing situations....my daughter folding laundry, holding up a pair of my underwear and asking "Mama, who's shirt is this"......going to Six Flags and waiting in line for 2 hours to ride SuperMan only to hear "Sorry Ma'am, you don't fit" and having to do the walk of shame while my family rode without me.....

Don't let your bad choices today get you down. Think about why you made those poor choices and make a plan to avoid making the same choices tomorrow. Craving chocolate and fat...think about having some chocolate marshmellows (fat free option) and turkey bacon instead of regular. You didn't develop bad eating habits…
