  • Thanks everyone for the great advice. I am 5'1 and weigh 122 lbs. I think it is more the years of non activity that are hurting me so much right now than anything. Well as inactive as a mother, grandmother, wife, secretary and sports mom goes. But specific activity, no. I would love to ditch the treadmill and get outside,…
  • I do this but only because I can't keep up the pace I want to. I will run on the treadmill for only a few minutes, when I am about to pass out, I slow back down, while still going at a good fast walk, when I can breathe again I speed back up for a hot minute. But like I said, this is more because I can't keep it up for too…
  • On Sundays I gather up all my ingredients and make Salad In A Jar. You take a mason jar put your favorite salad dressing in the bottom then add your salad ingredients. The dressing has to go on the bottom with the lettuce at the top with all your veggies in between. Typical for PB's salads are Russian dressing Baby carrots…
  • Congratulations! We were 17 years last Saturday, which is when my profile pic was taken!
  • I can't say I wouldn't be attracted to my sweetie anymore, but I will tell you this, we have both put on some weight in the last couple of years, and two months ago when we hugged, I realized we were reaching over both our bellies. I think he looks at me differently, tho he still loves and respects me and is always…
  • Me and my sweetie! Leah N Me That's us in the center of my profile pic. No not the woman, she's my ex-wife. The guy on the right ;0)

  • I love my flex and agree with the poster who said don't over think it. In fact I just wrote this this morning. Once you find the right adjustment for your activities, it's the best combo ever. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1263622-not-rocket-science
  • That is great! I am really starting to believe that the scale is definitely not the best judge of your body. Clothes are. Congratulations!:drinker:
  • Water: the only thing you can do is make yourself drink it. I love water, I don't drink anything but coffee water and wine. Having said that, it's still hard to get enough in for the day. But I am getting better. As far as foods to stay away from, from what I've learned from my short time here, you don't have to avoid any…

  • This is how I handle it.. I use my treadmill to get me up to my 10K step goal and it feeds back to MFP so I can relax with my glass of wine at night. ;0) And yes, the negative calories does keep my motivated to get on that boring treadmill!
  • This sounds amazing! Thank you!
  • Being from the south...ahem ^this
  • Judging by your profile, I think you need more work on your inward image of yourself than you do the outer image. If you can't love you, how do you expect anyone else to. You have done an amazing job so far, put your 'skinny' glasses on and have a look. Self loathing is extremely self destructive, enjoy your success.
  • I am 5'1" and I need to lose 11 more pounds. Currently at 124. I feel you. I have noticed from hanging out here for the last two months that the less you have to lose, the slower it comes off. I am not happy with only .5 lbs lost a week, but it is more sustainable than me trying to lose that little bit of weight too fast…
  • You look great! Congratulations on your recent and continuing success! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
  • This sounds awesome! Soooo going to try it this weekend!
  • OMG that looks good! Thanks!:flowerforyou:
  • It sounds to me like your sister is trying to fit in with what she would consider the "cool kids" Trying to get away from her own thoughts and feelings about fat people by doing what the "cool crowd" does. The only way she will stop is if you, as someone who cares about her, point it out to her. But be prepared for some…
  • I have only had my Flex for three days now. I paired mine with MFP and enabled negative calories because I have OSD (obsessive syncing disorder) I love waking up to the negative and then pushing myself to get above and beyond for extras. But that's just me, I'm weird. I found myself needing just 800 more steps yesterday to…
  • I think someone is being overly sensitive. I would have taken it as it was asked, a simple question. You don't know if the lifeguard noticed your form and recognized a competitive diver or if he was just being mean, but I guess how you would 'hear' that question is more of a reflection of the 'hearer' than the asker.
  • 'Great Job! You look awesome! Keep up the good work.

  • Change my stride?
  • My husband was eating only one good meal a day, yet he was pushing almost 200 lbs. So when I joined MFP I showed him all the info about eating up to calories and the fact that he could still drink his beer if he wanted to use his leftover calories for that at the end of the day. After he started and actually started…
  • Rick is back!!!!
  • You look amazing! Congratulations on all your hard work! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :drinker:
  • I quit five months ago using an e-cig. Even with that the cravings were there for a good few weeks before i finally called myself a "non smoker" Don't obsess about your weight, that is the downfall of a lot of people who try to quit. Or do but only in a healthy way. Keeping hands busy, washing all your old clothes,…
  • The best cheerleader ever! People make it way to hard, and she always simplifies it. I love it!
  • Now that's a winner!
